Your mom’s quilts are wonderful! That antique churn dash block was beautiful! Love your videos and your realness. Thank you for the tips, tricks & life lessons. Until next time! ❤️
Hey girl, so happy to spend some time together. My "Word" for this year is "enough" and I have a lot of the same thoughts. As temptation comes, He whispers in my ear that I have enough and our Lord is enough. Thanks & hugs
Your videos are so encouraging. I can’t thank you enough. Everything you shared has resonated with me. Praying for your healing. The scriptures you shared are awesome! Thank you so much 😊
Congratulations on your decision to be your own type of minimalist. I am excited to watch your progress. I started my decluttering in August and it has made me so much more mindful of how I live and how I want to live.
Omg 😱 Bonnie I love seeing all your beautiful quilts the purple one caught my eye. Enjoyed seeing all your beautiful creations. Have a wonderful week and happy quilting 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
I am not a quilter at all but I totally enjoyed listening to everything you talked about while I cross stitch. Then at the end when you talked about the Bible verses I stopped my stitching and open my Bible. I love seeing God's Word. Thank you for your Godly wisdom and advice. I have decluttered things using the same thought process. It's difficult and comforting at the same time. It's definitely a freedom to free onesself of things and others will be blessed. I hope you find some pain relief soon.
Hi Bonnie. As always you are full of joy and very inspirational! This journey of life and Stitching is so entwined… So glad I met you this year and hoping and praying all your plans come together in just the perfect way! I am a big believer in being organized andPurging things in life that weigh you down!!!!
I have been in my sewing room all day. I just got to sit down with my hand quilting and watch you! Your quilting videos are my favorite! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Thanks for sharing!
I love that you are sharing things with others that you know will love, cherish and respect the part of your heart that you are giving them... I have only been quilting for less than a decade and have built up quite the stash... I can't imagine what yours is like! My mom never sewed but I have a few of her cross stitches that I cherish . I tend to be drawn to jewel tones of blue purple and green mostly but I also like the deep reds and browns and greens of prim... I guess I just love it all. We retired a year early this past may and it has been EYE opening... I am also working in the mindset of stitch whatcha got and I refuse to buy any more fabric until I use the majority of what I have... that will take a couple of years to accomplish. it is amazing to see where foolish spending was... WAS. It is an ongoing adjustment for us...but SOOOOOOOO worth it!! I have also started making bags and purses with cork and waterproof canvas and such and have no stash at all. I wish I would started doing this decades ago...and lastly, I am a chronic pain sufferer for almost 30 years... it takes more out of a person than one could ever imagine... in all areas of your life.I pray that they are able to help you fully heal. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy(as the saying goes) love and prayers always.. Kathy
Sweet Kathy! I’m so glad we get to connect through these videos and that we have so much in common. I pray you get relief from your chronic pain! I’m just getting a tiny taste of how debilitating this could be. I am so glad that I finally got in the mindset of preparing for the future rather than staying in my emotional spending state. It is no longer healthy or practice for me!
Hi Bonnie, sure miss you! Hope all is well. I know you are very busy, but wanted you to know you are missed. Prays for your well being. You are a real blessing to me and so many others. Patty
I’m a new subscriber and just found your podcast. All I can say is WOW! What a wonderful and heartfelt video and the items that your letting go. It is extremely hard to downsize these precious items. I had to make that hard decision with my grandmoms quilts, crochet doilies, and certain cooking tools that she used daily. She taught me to quilt, knit and crochet. My mom was too busy with ranch life to do quilts but she did knit and sew. All the quilts are so beautiful and I thank you for sharing them. I hope to see more.
Connie, thank you for stopping by for a visit! I’m so glad my sharing about the challenge and benefit of my decluttering lifestyle was a blessing to you. I’ve wanted to do it for a long time, but knew letting go of those special people’s things would be hard.
Hi Bonnie. I appreciate what you are going thru going through your things. I'm trying to do the same thing. Thanks for the motivation to keep going. Mom had a bunch of things and it bothered her in the last years that I was going to be stuck with going thru it. I always told her don't worry about it .....now I need to take my own advice...and not worry. Love you!!!
Bonnie, you are such a cutie!! You’ve got so many beautiful talents! I have to confess that many times, I’ve stopped your videos and went directly and ordered the pattern that you’re showing and/or working on. We share some of the same interests besides cross stitching. I love quilting and appliqué too. French General is my all time favorite for years and years!! And I think we are almost the exact same age!! You probably wore ESPIRIT and Gunnesax dresses as a teen?...Niw wearing comfort track pants and letting the natural gray hair become the “real” color!! That’s been a little adjustment, but I’m finally loving it! What a cost savings!! Getting a little older is interesting.😊 I’ve quietly watched and ENJOYED all of your videos.I love your scripture at the end. Thank you for time you take out of your day to make these videos! I’m quiet and don’t comment often. I must commend you on all your progress in your effort to de-clutter and pare down your over abundance. I KNIW how hard that is. I have way too much stuff when it comes to my crafting and sewing supplies!! I love all of it, but need to pare down as well. I KNOW that you will be successful in whatever you do!! I’m not as sure about myself.😐 I do have one question about a sweet heart ♥️ pillow on the back of your couch in this video. I would love to know what pattern it is or if it’s something you designed yourself, could you show the heart pillow up closer to the camera? From what I see, I want to make one for myself. I’m a heart girl-♥️♥️♥️ especially the vintage shaped ones. Can’t wait for another video when you’re ready to make one. Hope your Winter is mild, happy and healthy!! Sincerely, Hazel N.
Good luck with the down sizing! I want to do that so bad. We have lived in our home almost 45 years and have collected a lot of stuff. I want to have an garage sale but the garage needs to be cleaned, husband has a lot of tools and etc. it seems so hard to just let things go. I was encouraged when you showed several things your mom had given you and you were letting them go! Good to see you again- got to go clean out stuff😄
Now that I’ve been working hard at decluttering for several months, it’s getting easier and I’m really seeing the difference in my home and garage. It feels so good! I keep watching lots of videos to get me motivated and give me the mental tools I need to keep going when it’s exhausting.
Hi Bonnie :-)) I need to do exactly what you are doing..my stuff is weighing me down but trying to figure out what to do with everything has added another layer of stress to me..I have totes that are full of my kids clothes because I wanted to make a quilt someday....now it has become difficult cutting the precious clothes up :-(( ...then as of 2020 I have inherited a couple of totes from my parents...so now I have doubled my stuff...trying to come up with a game plan has been quite the challenge because of my sentimental nature...i appreciate you sharing your journey ...it has been a big help...if all goes well at the end of 2022 I will have a less cluttered life so I can enjoy the things that make me happy! thx for the inspiration!
Yes, Kathy, it is a hard thing we need to do in Letting items go…specially the sentimental ones. I’ve gained so much help with the videos I’ve found (on my playlist) and just moving forward in it. The other day I gave my friend the quilt pieces from my Mom. She was so thrilled. It helped me see what a good choice it was to pass them along to someone who would find joy in them rather than the gui,t I had been struggling with.
Hi Bonnie I tried the website for the Goose on the Loose pattern & it is out of stock😩It is beautiful 🙏🏻🙏🏻Praying it will come back into stock again. I love your work 😍
I spoke with Melissa from Fabric Essentials this morning and they are trying to get more copies from the designer but won’t know how many they can get until next week. It’s an out of print pattern….hoping they can get lots!
Bonnie miss seeing your you tubes and wanted to check in with you. Pray that your pain has subsided and you are able to get on with your life. Do let us know how you are getting along . 🙏
Hi Bonnie, I so enjoy your videos. I have the flying geese pattern and the Elenor Burns rulers but was wondering what size loc bloc rulers u used? Did u buy them packaged in different sizes? Thanks for ur help and all the work u put into ur videos.
The bloc lock rulers are pretty expensive, so I only have one so far as bought it either on Amazon or Fat Quarter Shop. I do have the whole set of Quilt in a Day Flying Geese Rulers (every size available) since I make them often. If you are careful, you can trim accurately with those, but the bloc Lock rulers are wonderful because they have a ridge that holds it on the seam. I have several sizes for half square triangles also.
I absolutely love your spirit and creativity. Would you be able to share your setup for hand quilting? Do you use a hoop or just on hand. I want to try it. But, not sure how to start. I use you stitching setup for cross stitching and it works great! Thank you❤️
When I get home I’ll try to show how I actually hand quilt (I’m in Colorado right now). I’m not techy, but I’ll find a way to show it. Thanks for asking and I’m glad my other setup is working for you. I like simple !
Are you still doing video,s? I have not got a notice since last Spring. Was wondering if you moved yet. I wanted to share with you I lost my cabin to wildfires in N.M. It is like losing a child😢. Hoping we can rebuild
Cheryl, I'm so sorry that you lost your cabin in the wildfires. Oh my!! Our sweet mountain community was so devastated in the 2003 fire and it will never be the same even though our dear cabin made it through. I hope you have been able to heal and process all the grief and are rebuilding.
Praying all is well with you and family. I miss seeing you and hearing all your encouraging words from the Lord. 🙏❤️

I'm really missing you.
Love both Goose On The Loose quilts! So pretty!!
Thanks for the video..you inspire me. Love the visit on quilting

Thank you for your dear encouragement! Just what I needed! Yes, my back pain is decreasing and I’m able to get more of the things done that I need to.
