I don’t want just one bike which can do everything but excels at nothing. I want a mountainbike, a gravel bike, a climbing bike, an aero bike etc. It’s a hobby, and I like to spend my money on it and enjoy all the bicylces, gadgets etc that come with it!
@@jackiewong0806 I never run out of gears on the high end of the gear ratios since I'm always coasting on downhills. My "biggest" gear ratio is only a 34/12 on my gravel bike. I'm better off recovering, conserving energy, and trying to stay alive when descending. I can see how things might be different on a TT bike.
I guess a lot of riders would prefer 48, 46 or 44 chainring. 44/10 is plenty of downhillspeed for me and also alllows climbing with a larger cog rear than in the front.
@@erlendsteren9466 If you live in the mountains you'll go for the 40 chainring and a 10-51 cassette. Totally different use case. This bike is basically for flat roads, there can't be any hill around.
That's a really light Gravel Race Bike. What else would you do to make it a sub-UCI legal weight limit? With regards to your background noise (probably from your neighbor). You can isolate and delete it from today's video editing tools. Great bike and thanks for sharing as well.
Okay, no knock, nice bike, but 35s are more for commuting than graveling? And I still don't get 1x when the frame is rigid, lots of room for a front derailleur, tho' I do understand the flex appeal of these 1x drivetrains.
The Cruxes all use the same frame. The differences are paint jobs and different external parts like wheels and groupsets. You can easily buy a cheap tier with Apex AXS and swap it with any SRAM transmission derailleur + cassette, then pair it.
I have it's sister bike, the Diverge. I HIGHLY recommend the FutureShock of you are subject to any sort of neuropathy in your arms/hands. And, yes, it is a go anywhere bike if you fit the right tires. It presently has 28 mm Turbos, which are the older and little sister to the Mondos.
That’s a really awesome setup. I had an aethos and thought that a crux setup like this would a great do it everything bike. And now with the 13 speed 1x even better. That color and with the one piece Roval bar looks great.
If they added internal cable routing, that would be a candidate for an amazing do it all bike. If there was frame storage it would be a perfect bike 😂 I wish they would just take the SL8 frame shape and stretch it to the Crux's geometry.
I race a Revolt and there’s no way in hell I’d want a fully integrated cockpit. I’ve already serviced the headset, changed bars and bar tape this season.
This is NOT external routing, this is regular internal routing. Just because you can still see brake lines, does NOT mean it's external routing. If they enter the frameset at any point, it is NOT external routing. Regular internal routing is better for gravel bikes. They get dirty fast and have shorter headset service intervals than road bikes.
Stop it.. many of Cyclo-cross World Cup bikes are now running the brakes internally. It’s cleaner and better looking too. Get with the program Specialized🙄
@@alvinmarin8648 all of us can tell you’ve never actually done any serious work on a modern bike with hydraulic disc brakes. And Gravel and Cyclocross really need semi-integrated cables - otherwise we’d try to off ourselves.

I agree. Paint looks like my kids’ diapers when they were sick 🤢

I'd buy it if I can fit my entire bike packing gear inside the frame.
