      My guess is that if not for covid, I think Babymetal would have scheduled a show with them in Europe. Maybe could still happen. I also think Sabaton has a special festival/event and maybe they want Babymetal to play in it.

      It would probably be hilarious, but given the nature of Sabaton's songs and the subject matter, I think it might not fit too well. Unless of course they make it one of the rare non-war-related songs in their repertoire.

    Hi Alan. Congratulations, you are now a heavy-hitting social media influencer.
    I just watched a recent (in the last day or so) installment of Babymetal News and they refer to a recent interview with Jaokim from Sabaton dropping several hints about a new collaboration between him and Babymetal. They also said that Joakim blamed the current surge in Covid 19 that has put the brakes on it.
    This was all talked about in your interview from 19 Jan. You have more media pull now than the Kardashians.

      @@dicodec That channel along with the 'World War Two' might be the most underrated channel on TH-cam, if you like history, it's surprising how little the views they get. Anyway, back to music, I assume Joakim and Babymetal might already done more collab? or atleast there was definitely a plan for it.. hmm.

    I fully know what he means about being in bands with people you want to go froward with. When I was a teenager, I nearly killed myself learning about music, getting better on bass guitar, because I had friends who played guitar and drums and keyboards. It never occurred to my naive self that we all didn't want the same thing. One guitarist saw it as a hobby to do with friends, another saw music as a secondary passion to computers, and the third loved playing guitar but never wanted to get on stage. The main drummer I played with wanted to play bass and sing with his other drummer friend that no one else liked, so he ditched the rest of us before high school graduation. Thankfully I had planned for the possibility of being musically alone, so I went to college and turned out well, but I still occasionally wonder what might have been had I found others with my ambition. I think that's why I'm so into younger bands like The Warning, Liliac, BAND-MAID, Asterism, etc. They've got the skill, they found the right people, and they're all going for it. It makes me proud to see younger bands chasing their dreams.

    Joakim, if you're here I beg you to read through this, the context I approached listening/watching through the Soldier of Heaven video had... something to think about, for me.
    One thing I like exceptionally about the video is, when the soldier's ghost saluted you didn't return it. To the best of my understanding, the salute is a gesture of respect that those outside service sort of aren't supposed to be doing. The chin-raise, the exposing of the neck in reply? That's fair, reasonable.
    The biggest chunk of what painted the angle I approached that song's video was - people die on the high peaks. This is a fact of life. I rewrite the following because I've been toying with it in my head for a while;
    The Everest is not a place for emotions. Past the point of 8km (4.97 miles) above sea level, you're on your own. It becomes a march for survival; no place for mistakes. You can hire a guide and a Sherpa, and they will both tell you *At the first sign of something going wrong, TURN BACK or you will DIE.* There is no energy in one for two at this altitude. Everyone goes there knowing this, there's no room for romanticizing things. If you can't walk, you will die. Period.
    The area after Camp 4 is called the Death Zone. No help past that point. Most climbers die of exhaustion. When you're going upwards you're pumped by the adrenaline and that helps, but after it runs dry you're left with your own basic strength and power. You can start climbing down - after the step named for Sir Edmund Hillary, someone might sit down because they're exhausted. You could wait for 30 minutes and they still won't walk. They'll lie back and give up. You will have to leave them there; it will break your heart, but if you try to do something to help, you'll kill yourself as well.
    To this day there's around 200 bodies there. The most distinctive one is a man called Green Boots, he's right at the start of Rainbow Valley. It's called so because you can see fabrics and neons and colours from all over the world and of every type.
    It's difficult to understand, let alone explain, what a 9 kilometre high mountain really means. It's required to spend weeks, maybe months acclimatizing. Only then does it make sense to make the final push to the summit. If you encounter bodies on the way, you'll have to walk past and leave them. There is no other way. Everyone goes there in full knowledge of the risk of never coming back. That is Everest's, and most 8km+ mountains', cruel rule.
    This was not written to be some silly internet story, this is plain truth of how to make it at those heights.
