SABATON - Joakim Brodén "The Great Tour" interview @Linea Rock 2020 by Barbara Caserta

On January 28th 2020 “The Great Tour” has come to town and yours truly BARBARA CASERTA had a second chance in a few months to elaborate “The Great War” & more with Mr JOAKIM BRODEN of SABATON, always welcome as a special guest in our Radio Lombardia studios in Milano. He was extremely nice, full like an unexploded bomb and open like a river in flood: we talked the huge production of the current tour and how taking everything always another level up makes it harder and harder for Sabaton even to compete with themselves; then the war themes, the strong sound, the split with producer Peter Tagtgren after many years, the unique collaboration with Apocaliptyca, their discipline code & regulation like a good troop, his favorite war movie, videogames, pinballs, the dangerous filming of "Seven Pillars Of Wisdom" and that car crash in the Sahara, the "Sabaton Open Air" and how having Accept as an opening act last time in Italy bodered uncompromising true metallers over here! Plus the next battlefield to conquer and the next 20 years!

The second interview I'm watching with Joakim. And happy second time, such a pleasure to watch - good interviewer, nice quality of sound. As for Joakim - the history nerd, well I'm just amazed by this man, we need people like him as role models. Extremely talented, funny, clever and passionate about what he does. Don't forget the past, learn smth new, have a dream and go for it - my thoughts after watching this.

Charley Nilsson hahah yeah. I’ve played it here and there. Gameplay doesn’t impress me. All they had to do was copy and paste BF1 gameplay and style into a WW2 game I would be content
