Oh my goodness what did I just see? You have a head full of gorgeous thick NATURAL curly hair and you cover it with wigs! I almost cried gal. Your natural hair is so very pretty. I wear wigs to cover thin fine sparse hair. I have always wanted hair like your natural hair. It’s beautiful
I’m the same. I wish I had hair . When I saw her hair, I did cry. But, there’s people that like to wear wigs. Bravo for them. I’ve tried everything from, rosemary water, garlic, vinagre, mayonnaise.. you name it, I gave up. Only thing is, no one knows I wear wigs. I stay with same colors, same hair length. It’s just me.

I too have done rosemary and biotin and silica and taking hair vitamins like Viviscal waiting to see if I can get more hair back. As of now it’s still very sparse and I let it grow out light gray. So now I’m trying gray wigs just bought two Paula Young clearance Collins wigs in 56/60 silver with lace front for $35 each. And they’re not too bad, just need some restyling.
I have recently purchased a number of grey wigs of various brands. Noriko, TressAllure, Rene of Paris, Jon Renau, Raquel Welch, & even budget wigs like Paula Young. I find the choice of a WHITE wig cap on all these brands make them unwearable without some sort of cover - a wide headband or hat. The wefts and the cap line are SO obvious because of the choice of color. If producers would simply use a peach or flesh-toned cap it would make all the difference. NO ONE HAS A BRIGHT WHITE SCALP.
Oh wow😞....Its a beautiful color on you and the the style is cute, but even when you turned around I could see tracks all in the back. What a shame, I dont order from them because the ONE time I did, the shampoo leaked in the box and the wig was SO SMALL..(and Im a petite average size)..and customer service..well...stunk. They basically accussed ME of opening the shampoo and spilling it, THEN they argued with me about replacing it...and THEN..they charged me twice for the replacement product AND FOR SHIPPING....I dont have time for that company anymore.
I'm still waiting for a replacement wig, and a refund on another wig so I'm not very impressed with their customer service at this point. I hope I don't have to follow up and "push" that it be taken care of. I already lost money on shipping of course. Lesson learned. Have you found a company with better customer service? Sorry you had that bad experience with PY, that is so frustrating!
Recently I bought gray wigs for the first time. I am crazy about my Godivas Secret wigs, love them and they have brown wig caps. These are my favorites. I also bought two Rene of Paris in gray. They have a brown wig cap. I do like these and I paid only $81 each so I can’t fuss too much because I like gray wigs to be a bit browner in the back near the neckline. The other two I bought are Paula Young. I really bought them for everyday at home use. The PYs have white caps which I do not care for. They also have a few wefts that show. This is due to the fact that they just have LESS hair, period. Also, after I wore one several times I realized that I had a weft on the back near my neckline that was unattached for about 1.5 inches. I had to sew it back on. This tells me one thing. You do get what you pay for in wigs. The PYs just are not the same quality as name brands. And, I do buy my name brands when they are on sale.
I will say my John Renau and Noriko are better quality . The Wig Company is so good to and wallet friendly and fits my big head better too. Paula Young has some beautiful styles but can be hit and miss. Out of all I've purchased fro py only one was terrible.. so not that bad over all.
I just found your channel and always appreciate seeing PY wig reviews because I wear that brand. I also wear this color a lot bc my own hair is pure white and I don’t love it on me. This is a nice blended color. Anyway, I’ve noticed in the last year the quality has gone downhill. I then have to pay return postage. Often the color has changed or the ear tabs are halfway up the side of my head. Again, thank you for your review.
Hi Shannon, I still think you should reach out to the customer service department and let them know that you noticed it while filming a review and offer to send them the link so they can see for themselves. You could also send a private message to Paula Young through Instagram and share the link. Even though you cut the tags, maybe they can work with you and send you another one to review to show how it should look. My two Tara's were perfect, and I really think they will stand by their product. By the way, the color and style are both lovely on you! 🤍🖤🤍
Dream on. I received a Danielle and a Brady that showed the weft and even the band in front. I called customer service, told them I didn't feel I should be penalized by paying return postage for a product that, if they had any kind of quality control, would never have been sent out. Also, that I felt they would profit even more because they would resell these defective wigs. Their response...yes, we sometimes have problems with some manufacturers. Sorry to lose you as a customer. Wow! And I've bought A LOT of wigs from them over the past 2 years.

Hi Shannon. I purchased Tara in the same exact color while she was on clearance. I too had the same problem. I did the eyeshadow cover up, and that wasn't working, so then I did root spray. I just didn't care for the end result. I wasted so much money with PY on many occasions for the same reason. I call customer service these days. But lately I just order from other companies. It's very disappointing that PY even ships out products like that. I do love the color of that wig on you. It looks fantastic. Thank you for your wonderful reviews!

Too bad it’s discontinued. Perhaps it would make a really cute updo?! I don’t have any wigs long enough to try an updo and I’m looking for a low density wig with straight not side swept bangs long enough to do an updo… preferably a PY. Can you think of any I can look into? Thanks!
This a very pretty wig! I’ve seen lots of them now, and I’ve held off ordering it as many of the posts described a number of different fairly serious issues. It’s a new style, why put it straight out to Clearance? They got a dud batch and trying to recoup their outlay? I’m totally fine with PY selling defects, and returns, but please, be upfront if there are known issues with them. I do expect a wig to be as advertised or to describe the fault so I can make an educated decision. Is it being discontinued, or just selling off this batch?

I have a problem w/some of my wigs. Even though I use a wig cap plus a hair grip like you had on certain ones tend to slide around. You gave me the courage to start wearing them. Any ideas on how I can stop them from bunching up and sliding? I'll take any advice. Thank you. Also, this wig looks wonderful on you.
For my head 4 ounces is the goldie locks sweet spot for hair volume. Had to return a py wig for scant hair volume. When I looked at other reviews more than a couple of other women mentioned inconsistent quality from wefts showing from lack of hair.
Hi! The style and color look great on you. There’s a hair powder used on roots by Joan Rivers. I have the color gray and it’s a fantastic product. Stays put until you wash the wig or your bio hair. My compact has lasted me at least 5 years. At that time, it was sold on QVC. Not sure if it’s available there now. Good effort making the flaws less noticeable.
You shouldn't have to use root spray on a bad weft. How disappointing that is because the whole point of this color is that it is supposed to be 60 white on top and gradually become darker towards the nape. That color is really what makes that wig. Also by the way, do you wear wigs just for variety and to save time? Your own hair looks so thick and you have a great hairline.
Are the clearance / discontinued wigs likely to have defects, like not enough hair? That was so distressing because that color was amazing on you. Thinking time to have a hairdresser transition your bio hair to all silver.

The quality of Paula Young wigs and hair pieces is not the same as it use to be. My grandmother use to order wigs and hair pieces from Paula Young and they were fabulous. Looked very real, she would always put the wig behind her hairline and use a little of her own hair and hairline in the front, could never see wefting at all. I liked her hair pieces so much i got one, it matched my red hair perfectly. My hair was dyed at the time to. Well, several years later she ordered hair pieces that were suppose to be the same one like what i had gotten, it was nothing like it, she returned it and they wouldn't give her money back, they said it looked like it had been worn. It had not been worn, it looked terrible right out of the packaging and it was thin and cheap looking. I was going to try another one but they have no color that will match my hair now. I asked several times for color swatches and finally got them. I see no matches for the hair pieces. Its a big NO for me. I cant stand how they treated my grandma after years of her ordering from them.

Don’t they inspect these pieces, looks terrible on top! This just isn’t fair to the customers when they can go on Amazon for $15 and buy a cheap wig. I’ve gotten bad wigs even in the $200 range. Quality is just lacking and it’s a shame.

I quit ordering from Paula Young because the quality has gone so bad! I loved my Victoria and it has turned into a horrible wig. It is not the same color and parts f hair sewn in backwards. I am so sad.😪
I tryied applying eyeshadow to the wefts..that really didnt didnt cover the wefts. I gave this one to a friend that loved the color and she wears a hat with it. There was no covering those wefts

I find rooted colors or adding rooting to white or light grey wigs makes all the difference. Besides hiding the wefts it adds depth of color. 😊

I love the color too..but that wefting is terrible. I may try to dye the whole thing (inner cap) a darker grey.

All synthetic wigs can be dyed with rit dye for synthetic fabrics. Works great. I bought purple to tone all my 613 wigs.
A friend uses furniture markers to color roots. It stays better than powders and sprays.
