- The making of my Little Dorrit costume continues for the #RelaxedRegency sew-a-long. In this video I walk you through how I altered the pattern and made the bodice including cartridge pleats, gathering, piping and so much more.
The pattern used for this project was Laughing Moon 138, although I ended up altering the front of the bodice quite substantially.

Lovely so far! I have never had goodluck with laughingmoon
Thank you for showing us such classic outfits actually some outfits were fashionable years ago and back with new touches iwish for your channel more success and progress stay safe blessed good luck to you your dearest ones
That piping! So good, and I know I've said it on insta but that gathering in the front is so pretty I love it.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 ya Claude!! I love how you're adding so many more details and the piping!!
Though, stupid piping for not wanting to be long enough even after all that math 😋
I have not yet had the pleasure of making my own piping but I have a very strong sense of expectation that I shall be making it as needed because no matter how much I try to math it out, no doubt, I will be at least a third under my estimate.
Looking forward to the next exciting episode... Thank you for working so hard at delivering a great project and video for us to enjoy...and learn from.
That was amazing, you always get me engaged and this is beautiful to watch, thanks again for sharing your wonderful skills.
I finally finished the bedsheet mend!
& made the bed (many layers)
& put away my sewing materials
Am trying to convince myself that it would be lovely to just soak in the tub for awhile & do a Pragmatic "pedicure".
Congratulations on finishing your mending! 🎉
@@RetroClaude 😀💖👍🌟 *so pleased*
I had been forgetting about it for weeks! 🙄😑
Regency was never my thing, but dang it, I have a pattern in the cart, now. If I'm gonna buy a pattern, I'm going to use it.
I love the blouse you’re wearing is there a pattern?
The blouse I'm wearing is actually a dress! It's Simplicity 8248, one of those reprint of a vintage pattern ones 😊 there will be a video about making it ... At some point 😂
Don't be afraid to be subtle sometimes. Thats what it means to be an elegant lady.
Lv the time period for replication 😍🦹🏾♂️😇👌🏾💕🏳️🌈🌷
Laughing Moon patterns are horrible! I've had to refit and recut just about every pattern I've purchased from them. Stick with Truly Victorian and other pattern companies.
