@@DavidWillis-s8k sorry don't know who that is... I only liked Clapton with Cream, everything else he did, to me, is boring.. I come from the Ronson/ Earl Slick/ Williamson " school of guitar", unfortunately Clapton style does nothing for me. I tried to get into it but no... 🤷♂️🎸
Nice one Stu. Many thanks for posting this. My son and I had our first Dad n Son gig last night at this awesome show. I will never forget it. What a show!! X
The best days for,Clapton was the late 1969s in Cream…nowadays I feel the music is never as raw as the Cream performances with backing singers and keyboard players and 10 additional musicians..more like a cabaret act.
In your opinion. Check out his performances in 2004. The guitar solo on this version is decent. I think he's playing the best he's played in years at the moment. I think his peak was 2004 and also mid 90s when he did the blues concerts. This version of Cocaine is incredible. Im listening to it again as I'm typing this
In your opinion. Clapton doesn't want to play like Satriani or Steve Vai ffs. He's not a speed player. He just plays quality guitar solos and with more feeling than any of those you mentioned
@@BudgieFan101 definitely not. Steve Vai and Satriani are fans of Clapton. Eric has no interest in playing like that. He's a blues player predominantly
Over rated? How so? Why did you go see Eric then? Pentatonic? Do you understand the meaning?.. it’s a five note musical scale ..Eric uses this manner of playing ..plus the mixing of the major pentatonic scale alongside the minor .. is exactly how Eric has played always. In fact he used it in Sunshine of your Love with Cream .. plus Led Zeppelin used it in Stairway to Heaven.. These bands are exceptional just as Eric is Phenomenal at playing in this manner! Maybe you need an explanation of the meaning of Over Rated as you so flippantly use this term?
It was an amazing performance and I was lucky enough to see it live
And me 👍👍👍👍
And me
Real musicians playing real music for people just like you .... and just like me.
Love that comment, so true ❤👍
Thank god for " not real " musicians then 🤣🎸
@@adreenalize What, you mean Nesbit’s who know how to mime to a backing track 🤣🤣

I was there. Amazing night!

Amazing guitar solo. One of the best versions
Thanks for sharing🙏
Thanks for posting. Seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday
Eric the love of my life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏Az Úr adjon még sokáig erőt , hogy azt mi is érezzhessük a zenéd hallgatásával !!! 🙏🙏
Let the music talk ❤
Sounds great, but It looks like a sound check with the house lights on.
Did you get holy mother?

@anoshya Spot on! 👍🎸
Over Rated. Just compare Eric to Alexi Naiho, Bill Steer, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, this Clapton really is Pentatonic Box stuff. Two Bar Chord at that.

@@jbawn But I guess Eric would want to be able to play like any of the above - but the Vice Versa isn't true.

@@Chatti16 Pentatonic Box is still a Pentatonic box it's not flippantly described just a matter of description.
