You can also hold the power button on the remote for 20 seconds and a restart message should pop up hit restart it reboots the Android OS. Same as unplugging it.
I never did really know how to deal with this problem, which always forced me to use the factory reset (this was frustrating). Your solution worked for me and it is so easy!! Thanks a lot!
Loyal, decades-long SONY buyer/family. This issue makes never want to purchase another SONY product (camera, phone, wireless audio, TV - - NOTHING). Absolutely ridiculous that SONY hasn't addressed this issue for their customers.
I just spent one hour trying to connect my TV to WiFi, but was unsuccessful. I watched your video for one minute and was able to fix the problem. Thank you!!!
Glad it helped! Thank you so much for your support and for engaging with this channel through your comment. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Have been having trouble with my Sony TV not connecting to the internet on start up. After a few tries it would. So now when it actually said it wasn't connected, I immediately unplug and re-plugged the modem. That didn't work. Then tried numerous on screen attempts, but no luck, So I'm thinking my 10 year old TV needs to be replaced, until I watched your video. I didn't even think of unplugging the TV. It worked You saved my at least $700 for a new TV. Thanks again.
It works!! Thank you so much!It was so simple 😊Before watching this video I tried so many things and wasted my time. Thank God then I found this video and my problem is solved in just 60 sec!! Awesome thanks again!
The first suggestion was just to unplug the TV and after 2 hours of troubleshooting I did what you said and it worked the first time. Oh my goodness! So annoying! It was so simple after all the things I tried. Thank you so much❤

Unplugged TV and Router and it worked. Thanks! Sony Bravia XR 75” 4K 120hz model. Thank goodness I bought the telescope mount haha. If it does it again I’m probably gonna return it since I’ve only had it 3 days.
I had tried turning the TV off and on at the plug before but that had not clarified the problem but the 1 minute wait did the trick. Thank you for the tip!
I can appreciate the fact this does work in some cases and clearly many people appreciate your advice. As a technical support engineer I have to say this is not actually fixing the problem. You’re just essentially resetting the problem back to square one. You need to understand what is causing this behavior so you can take steps to permanently fix the issue. I have this issue and I believe it’s a bug in the android software. All other devices connect fine to the WiFi, so rebooting the router is a waste of time. You can rule out the router as an issue if the TV is the only device affected.
Any of above mentioned solutions did not work for me. What worked for me, was doing Initial setup under Settings. Although my Sony tv was connected to router but didn`t have internet access, i didn`t disconnect it from router, just started Initial setup. As it asked to change my network, i agreed and picked again my network and along the go corrected date and time.
You're the best! Ive been pissed off for three days bc it wasn't working and who knew, simple power off/on would fix it!! knew it works for phone, didn't realise it cld work for TV!!!
Wow. First video I watched after trying for 5 mins to get Wi-Fi working then I read the comments and so many people had luck with turning the tv off for 1 minute so I did that and it was connected again when it turned on.. I couldn't get the Wi-Fi switch on the tv to stay in the on position , it kept turning off. Now I know how to fix this in future too. Thanks
Thanks heaps, the first option worked a treat. It took me longer to find the Power Button than to fix the WiFi... apparently it's 2021 and TV's don't need Power Buttons... FML!
Thank you very much. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out the problem who knew simply unplugging it from the wall for a minute or to solve the problem you’re awesome. Much appreciated.
I have different type of issue with network. The available networks not showing while we ON the wifi option in Sony Bravia KD-55X75K model. Can you give the solution for this issue.
You don’t have to unplug. Hold the power button down on the remote and a menu will come up to restart the tv. This is different than turning it off and on, its like rebooting your pc. It will essentially reboot Sonys buggy android OS and fix whatever was messed up such as audio not working and wireless issues. Android tv OS is absolute garbage. Parents new 900h is updated to latest fw and it still constantly needs rebooting for issues.
Is turning off the breaker the same as unplugging? Mine is in a televator in an RV, and the plug is behind a wood panel... I turned off the breaker overnight and still no luck. I even went so far as to reset to factory specs and the wifi turns on and then immediately turns back off.

Thanks, it's a great TV, even better with working wifi now, we live in Wantage UK.
Why would you buy faulty tv
Nobody should buy a new tv just hold the power for 20 seconds then restart and your all good
.
You can also hold the power button on the remote for 20 seconds and a restart message should pop up hit restart it reboots the Android OS. Same as unplugging it.
You are my hero dude

Thank you so much it’s really work😀
Saved me a trip to the TV (it's so far away when you're so cozy in your bed)
Tried everything, nothing works (there are no issues with my wifi).....Sony used to be so much better than this!
