I come from army background, and on several Projects I've worked with Indian Army. Thousand treaties may be signed, thousands conferences be held, but "ONLY PEACE" can never be an option. The best way to attain peace is to prepare yourself for the worst war. And BTW, War too needs Brain.

First step is Defensive, second is Defensive Offensive and the last Option is Offensive. Under any circumstances we did not initiate attack on Any country, yet we faced several Major attack from our Neighbours. Did our No First Attack Policy helped us?

Can't blame you guys, barely having knowledge of warfare. here's a quick lesson, Russia is mainly using it's 1/4th of eastern flank, about 10% of it's Airforce, 5% of Navy, with Ukraine , they are being pumped up by the weapons from west, Russia don't want it's force to be used up. they are keeping it for NATO , they can't use all their might on one small country. They are playing long term game, if you guys still think Russia isn't deserving of 2nd spot, then you're dreaming.

Civil war: we beat the south pretty badly
WW1: we took on the central powers and carried the allies (probably because we joined a little last minute)
WW2: we put a team effort with the British and the Soviets in defeating the axis powers
Cold War: although it wasn’t really a war we still beat the Soviets
War on terror: still ongoing but terrorists are getting beat pretty badly right now
