Gday Jim. Always buttons. We had a great time together. There were heaps of laughs and good banter. Thanks for watching mate. Hope all is good with the family Poppy 😁👍
Hello i am back after 7 months, sorry i haven't uploaded in a while, but i have a full length 9 minute video up now of relics, romans, silver, and old GOLD!💖❤🎉🎉
Gday Camille. We had a great time out with Gadzee. There was lots of laughs and banter. Very important thing when out with friends. Thanks for watching. Take care mate 😁👍
Very nice Andrew mate, just loved watching as the finds were coming up, first the buttons and then the coins and other goodies. Think you were on a winner on this trip 👌👍👋 Tony
Gday Luke. We got a lot of interesting things and went to a few different spots. Very happy with the finds and had a great time with Gadzee. Hopefully catch you soon 😁👍
Another cracking Saturday evening viewing for me here in Blighty! Nice to see you out with your pal, and you certainly had a great laugh! Plenty of interesting finds there Andrew mate. Been shocking weather here mate, autumn well and truly here now…..off out on a group dig on Sunday! No doubt there’ll be a walk down Button Boulevard at some point! Love to you & Viv mate! Enjoy your Sunday pal
Gday Marcus. It was a great time out with Gadzee. Covered a fair bit of ground in different locations. We did have lots of laughs. The weather here is up and down but nice most of the time. Saw my second snake for the season. A red bellied black just sunning itself on the side of the road. About 3’. Happy to be in the Ute. Hope you did well in the dig. Love back from us too. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Nice collection of buttons and coins there ? Love the Claddagh ring. Ovcourse living in Dublin, me and my wife both have Claddagh wedding rings. Take care Andrew 👍
Gday Gerard. It was a surprise find for sure. Was not expecting it. Thanks for watching. Glad the reception is good that far away. You both take care too 🦘🦘😁👍
Ho hum. Another Saturday night watching CBK pull more interesting thing's out of the earth in one day out than than I do in six months. My goodness this a great wine! Cheers John
Looks like you two had a great time checking out various sites.Well done with the finds ,and more buttons to add to your collection. Years ago,one site yielded me about 25 buttons per hunt.Cheers and catch you next time.
Gday Gary. Yes at least I had the buttons to fall back on. The ring and badge were cool finds. Gadzee and I did have a great time. Lot of good laughs. Thanks for watching mate. Take care 😁👍
Well done mate, ripper hunt with Gadsy!! You were certainly on a button hot streak 😁👍 that Beechworth horseshoe (pin?) was cool and very nice Irish ring, another great find. Well done buddy. Cheers 👍👍👍
Gday Ant. We got a lot of cool bits and pieces. We’re in some interesting spots too. The pin and ring were great little finds. Very happy with them. Thanks for watching. Take care mate 😁👍
Good to hang out with you too. Had a great time. That would be nice with all those sovereigns. But until then there is still more buttons to be found. Take care mate 😁👍
Another great video professor. You guys seem to have a great day out ,nothing beats a day detecting with mates. Keep up the great work and see you on the next one. Cheers 👌👌👌👍👍👍🤜🤛.
I've got alot sre time on my hands now, just had a total knee replacement surgery done on my left knee. So l think i need to go throughyour video library again just in case i missed one. Cheers mate.😅😅😅
@TheCoffeeBushKid Going to have a lot of spare time on my hands just had a total knee replacement surgery on my left knee, got to go through your video library again just in case i missed one😊😊😊🤪🤪👍👍👌👌🤜🤛
Haha had a laugh at the pipe stem 😂😂 always got my eye open for the old pipe stem fragments too ……… your intro after the intro is missing sound btw 😅which is annoying when that happens …nice roundup of relics and coins the Beechworth pin was nice 👍🏻🙂
Gday William. Don’t find many pipe bits out detecting. Much like you, always looking. Don’t know what it is with the audio. We checked after you mentioned it and it was fine and our guest checked and theirs was fine too. Gadzee and I had a great day out together. Good bloke to detect with. Take care mate 😁👍
@@TheCoffeeBushKid weird I must be haunted then 😂😂😂 I just rewatched it and there’s sound now whereas before it disappeared just for that one segment, TH-cam gremlins apparently 😂👍🏼
Just when you thought it was safe to check your comments I turn up, I apologize but I almost called myself when you found the 5 cent piece, it just seemed like a cruel joke, Yes!!! a coin, Ah bugger! But it was the beginnings of a step up in finds, shotty not included! I liked the horseshoe broach, but my favourite find was the ring, there's something about personal finds that tends to stand out, who lost it and what became of them. Love that side of detecting. Thanks Andrew, reckon I'll go check this other bloke out, Cheers Mate!
I hadn’t read your comments out aloud and told Viv that they were there and she says “where’s my laugh “ so had to read them out. Was a bit of a joke with the five cents but at least I found it. The manticore picks up the small stuff. The broach and ring were both really good finds. Yes those bring the human side of the hobby into focus. Thanks for watching mate. Take care 😁👍
@@TheCoffeeBushKid G'day Andrew, Apologize to Viv for me please, Ive been working for myself seven days a week, dismantling by bungalow and shed, rebuilding, repairing, patching and repainting, trying to get myself set up and settled at my new location off the grid, I'm tired most of the time, been going at it for several months, and I've got much more to do, at the moment I'm concreting, hand mixing, pouring and, well you know the stuff I'm talking about, Ive just finished my volunteer work in town and having a cuppa now, before I start mixing again, I haven't had the energy or the wakeful mind, to be my regular annoying self, I gave it a try but, well you've seen the results, haven't been detecting for a while, and I'm missing that, if I don't keep working the jobs will never get done, you will probably notice when my normal self returns, and you will regret every moment of it, The enjoyment of joining up with you on a Saturday evening hasn't changed, and I thank you for that! Well there's three sips left in my cup, and I'm dragging it out, before I get back into it, Cheers Andrew! And the both of you take care! Hooray!
Howdy Andrew, I haven't written a note in a little while. I have been watching though. You had a couple great videos showing off your new Mate. It looks like a great little coil. I'm really excited to see what you'll find with it. A bit bigger than the old 6" but it seems to work a treat paired with the Mighty Manticore. It definitely plays hell in the button fields. I have the 10 X 5 inch coiltec for my 800 and it's my favorite. It's pretty good in trashy areas and I can cover a lot more ground with it than I can with the 6 inch. What is a Claddagh Ring? I have found a couple toe taps but no heal plates yet. Someday. When I was at the beach for 10 days I went out detecting by the ocean on 2 afternoons and then I went to the other side of the island and detected a park on the Albemarle Sound. I wound up with $6.63 in change, 2 tent pegs, 4 big fishing weights (they made me think of Mish) 2 rings and 2 earrings. One of the rings was silver. Just a narrow silver band with no adornment but still silver on my first beach hunts. It was really fun and the 800 worked great. Hope you and Viv are doing well. Jan and I are. Your buddy, Roelf
G’day Roelf. I do love the new M8 coil. I have been finding some reels good things with it and did have a great time up with Gadsy. Yes I am glad I still have a coil that can find buttons. 😂 nothing wrong with an 800 and a 10x5 coil, great combination. A Claddagh ring is a very Irish thing full of symbolism. Another commenter said that he and his wife have one as their wedding rings. The heel plates come up every now and then but aren’t as common as toe caps. Glad you had a great time on your holiday and that you managed to get out detecting. Isn’t it funny when certain items come out of the ground you think of certain people. I don’t think many people could find a sinker and not think of Mish. Congrats on the jewellery, you certainly did have a great first beach hunt. We are both well thanks and glad to hear that you and Jan are too. Take care mate. Andrew
Well your first find, Was the modern day equivalent of the clay pipe, Almost! So you were both, Right and Wrong at the same time. It was! part of a smoking implement after all!.. There must have been dozens of half naked people wandering around that place, Shivering and pecking at the ground looking for there lost buttons, Picture, Chooks searching for bugs! But all those musket balls might have been the reason for the buttons, a sharp shooting Muscketeer! I'll have to get back to you on the rest, the videos frozen, and I can't remember all of your finds. Replay!
You are right Wayne, it is the equivalent. I just thought I was riding a winner all the way to the point that I wasn’t. Ironically, Gadzee dug up a bit of clay pipe. There were quite a few buttons to be found. We had a great time out together. Hope you are well mate. Take care 😁👍
I'll have to get back to you on the completion of my dribble, I was getting fuzzy brained, Ahh! Make that, more fuzzy brained than usual. I'm in the midst of doing a concreting job at the moment, so I'll drop back in this Arvo, of course you might have locked the door and put up barricades by then, Cheers Andrew!
Gday Jean. The pair I wear is what we sell at Miners Den. They are very comfortable. As soon as I see skinks, I start wearing them. $120 or $129.95 with a snake bit kit. Can order them online. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Thanks for watching Daniela. Bronze is a darker colour but also what the piece may have been used for. Helps a little bit if you are a toolmaker and have machined lots of both. Take care mate 😁👍
