    I've been using mine since summer of 2019. When I began using it i couod spray about 20ft vertically but now it's about 15ft. Haven't had any issues. I dis recently get the backpack for it and that makes everything much easier.

    Also I was very happy to see that ryobi did see that they sent you some replacement o rings as well(because most commercial sprayers don't even do that) , mine are rubber and not silicone so be sure to complete drain fluid when storing also it doesn't hurt to run straight water after you finish your spraying

      Hi Dawn, this sprayer works great I have been using mine regularly for nearly a year to spray around the house, my wife's plants, shrubs and lawn with no issues. You can purchase Ryobi batteries at Home Depot. I have not seen a better cordless chemical sprayer and it's covered by Ryobi 3 year warranty

    Dave thanks for the great videos ! I currently have the 4 gallon ryobi backpack sprayer I really like it but it doesn't pressurize very good unlike the hand pump ones, also the wand I have an issue with too ,, unlike yours mine is solid plastic and I'm beginning to wonder if a brass wand will fit on my ryobi 18v backpack nozzle , I currently have a brand new B&G metal hand pump sprayer but the fittings for commercial equipment is called standard which I don't think will fit

    wont the onboard measuring cup drain residue back out, especially if you're holding it next to your side with the shoulder strap? can I just use the top half as a sump for getting water out of my usually flooded water meter?

    • @DavesShop
      @DavesShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Viking6, yes the residue could drain but only into the tank. I usually rinse mine between uses
      if I am switching products.

    Update this! Now twice the price on Amazon. And all they sell are "renewed" sprayers. Apparently something breaks on it and has to be fixed. Must be plenty of that going on. What is with the noise? Sounds like a chain saw. I have purchased several power sprayers (none of which worked for very long) and they were silent. Apparently this one forces air into the empty portion of the tank, rather than pumping by pulling from the full portion of the tank. If anyone reading this finds the latter varienty that works more than a month or two let me know.

    Can it handle a solvent based liquid, such as a sealer for carpets or tile? Or is that a little too harsh of a chemical?

    • @DavesShop
      @DavesShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @PG, Per Ryobi Do not use commercial grade chemicals or chemicals
      for commercial or industrial purposes. Use only consumer grade water-based lawn and garden chemicals. Hi Dave, Is the sprayer still working? My wife wants one of these. Do you think a backpack style with 2 should pads would be better for a small person instead of a single shoulder strap?

    • @DavesShop
      @DavesShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi RidemFast, Yes my sprayer still works and I love it. Never have to stop and pump up the sprayer again. I would stick with the single shoulder strap its easier. I had a different style backpack sprayer and didn't like it. It was hard to put on when full of material and tends to get your close wet if it leaks or from water used mixing material to spray.

      @@DavesShop Ryobi has a very similar model and many complain that the measuring cup, that is also the cap, breaks or cracks. Is the measuring cup in the Kobalt hard plastic, flexible, or something that you think can easily break or crack? Thank you again!

      @DavesShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ridemfast7625 not sure about the Kobalt branded sprayer but I have had no issues with my royobi and if you decide to get the Ryobi just snap a photo of the reciept and save it that would be covered under Ryobi's 3 year warranty.
