    Thanks Brian..it is very refreshing to have a reviewer who hasn't sold out to big corp. for free products. It seems there is new crap out every week these days. With the sheer magnitude of products it would be great if you could do a video of your "Go-To" products for total car detailing.. interiors, plastics, tires, paint..etc. It would be great to see 2 categories "pro" and "weekend warrior". Just my thoughts. Keep up the great videos!

    I’ve been using a homemade SIO2 detail spray combo. The recipe is 20 oz distilled water + 1 oz Wolfgang Uber + 2 oz Gyeon Cure. I get no streaking and it adds a ton of gloss to the paint. I use it as a drying aid after I’ve blow off 90% of the water. This solution works really well out of a Solo pump sprayer giving a quick and super fine mist for even coverage. I apply it every time I wash my coated vehicles. Might be a good cocktail to test on your channel Brian.

    I simply love ECH2O. Quick detailer (1:20), rinseless (1:200), waterless (1:20), glass cleaner (1:30), clay lube (1:30), interior quick detailer (1:30). Very very cheap.

My car here in northern Nj with all the toad salt, etc. stays cleaner much longer with this and cleans off with just a quick spray of the hose. . I don’t know how still, to this day, people think an IPA wipedown is gonna remove sealants/coatings/waxes. I like to polish before I apply anything. Heck, once the beading was uneven in my car, I clayed it, did an IPA wipedown and the beading came right back to life! Had contamination from so much construction in my area, plus some times I used drying aids which in the end masked that excellent base coat.

    • @apexdetail85

    Interesting test with the apc. The videos you're referring to, I've watched, and he sprays superclean, wipes it in then hoses it off. It loses its hydrophobic behavior, so his theory is that it's not there anymore. There a many commentors that have referred him to your channel to see it from a different perspective, but it didnt seem to help. He really believes that one spritz of superclean is completely removing the coating.

    Great video Brian!! First time I’ve seen ech2o shown to have any significant protective properties (that doesn’t just fade by the next wash). Would the black dot test have been any different if the panel was ceramic coated rather than bare? Am looking for a light QD/RW that doesn’t layer/mess up base ceramic coat - is ech2o NOT the right product contrary to popular opinion?

    So you always prefer the BRS over a microfiber towel or wash mitt for your rinseless washes?

    • @65sohc
      @65sohc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll answer my own question. I tried the BRS and was not impressed. It is fine on a flat surface but but if there are creases and raised areas it will ride over the area and make no contact, leaving the dirt unless you apply pressure which defeats the purported purpose. After the BRS I tried a chenile wash mitt and it worked much better.

    U said why add reload to it, just buy a stronger product or something else that fits that need. However, u do the application process of the products u use 2 times. I say the same thing u did, why not just buy a product more suited for ur needs. Something stronger instead of doing it twice. Wouldn’t u say these are about the same concept for 2 different applications? However, we like to add stuff and mix, and we like to do things in layers sometimes, right? For each their own. This confirms what I thought. These APCs are coating the panels and changing the hydrophobic properties because they can't simply be rinsed and wiped right off. They are not removing the coatings. They have wetting agents to help them cling to the surface and clean and that lets them hang on for a long while.

    • @apexdetail85

    Brian, BIG fan of Ech2o! I've been using it since it came out and it's been my GO TO for RW and even WW, the later I've found less is more since its so thick. I do like dpc Revive and hope it comes in a large size at some point so its even more economical.
    Also a quick question about using the sponge with Ech2o for RW. I'm surprised you don't use the 2BM method when washing the vehicle down. Given it has sio2 in it do you wash it in a special way treat it with apc or do anything else with it?
