Same position in multiple locations 🤯 thank you. I am just helping out a family because of their sons medical diagnosis. To lift their spirits and was freaking out I got in over my head. Thank you for all this amazing information.
Doing my first family sessions for Easter this year, and this was therapy for me 🧘🏽 Especially the subtle reminder "DONT COMPLICATE IT" thats my biggest problem , I overthink & forget that im an artist and i just need to relax, & not rush & start sweating etc. Thank You
Y’all’s videos are genuinely the most informative and helpful that I’ve seen for such a variety of topics!! 🙌🙌🙌 Thank you and keep up the great videos!
Your videos are informative, simple, and to the point! Thank you for not being greedy with tips! Photographers usually act like you can’t learn something they know. 😂💛
This is super helpful! Loved the Top Model tip! Also appreciate the positioning of mom with her belly button to dad - that's a great way to keep them close!
I am just starting out with family portraits and I loved this video. I still struggle to go into a session with a plan or a "system," so this was INCREDIBLY helpful. I love taking technically good photos, but I seriously struggle with posing people.
I would be very excited to see how you select photos after the shooting. Actually this is the part which kills me 😀😀 i always feel to connected with my photos....
What camera body would you recommend for an amateur photographer. I currently have a canon rebel xt and would like to get a more updated camera that I can use the same lenses that I have and is also economical. Thanks
Great videos you two. I’ve done a couple family shoots and get nervous everytime. The only times I don’t is when I’m a second shooter at weddings. Watching your videos make me feel more confident.
I have taken photos of families for ten years, but now I am going to be self-employed and your video was very helpful! I loved especially the "Top model posing system"! :)
Positive energy is so essential! Loved that you outlined the whole process. For me, it’s definitely better to have a plan in place before randomly shooting because I might forget a shot. Nice job!
This video was very helpful. I'm wondering if you could give some ideas for posing a family with two parents, a 15 year old, a 5 year old and a 3 year old.
Great tips! I always watch a posing video before i do a shoot for some reason because the day of i always feel like i forgot how to do it until i have the camera out with the family in front of me lol
I just found your channel, thanks for this information. I'm just starting to venture into family portraits so this was perfect timing. I'm starting with family and friends first before I even try to book an actual client. I feel I have a lot to learn and am intimidated but your videos will be very helpful.
Hi there. I am gearing up to start my first photo session with families. I'm starting with family to get started. Who did you start with to get you started?
Thank you both so much for creating this video. Your right, I am leaving this feeling confident. You both have a great and simple way to explain it ALL
Best tip for me is pick a few poses with a few variations of each one. Love your instructions and example photos. I can’t find the download list. How do I get it?
Omg I just finished there and it went SO well, we got incredibly lucky and got the most stunning backlight. All of your tips helped me so much I cant thank ye enough xx
I'd love for a video with a single parent, and young child. I've recently started working with Shoott, and I've had several sessions with just mom, and a little one. If the little one gets upset, mom's attention is taken away and the session doesn't seem to work well.
You guys are awesome. I am a new photographer, I learn so much from your videos. My first shoot is next week 😰. Do you guys have some sort of disclaimer forms for the clients to fill out?
With the walking post if just girl and guy they can hold hands and the girl can always put her other hand holding on to the guys arm also. I do thing that looks good. :) Something I have done :)
Thank you both so much. I’m prepping for my fourth set of family photos and before each one I come back to this video for a refresher. You guys do great work! Keep it up! We need more! 🤣👍🏻
One of my favorite family poses is to have the kids sitting in the foreground looking at the camera, and the parents slightly out of focus throwing leaves, acting silly, etc.

Love the idea of staying in one spot!!!
It allows the family and clients to get so much more time if we stay in one spot!
How do you do a sitting pose with teenagers parents and kids
You guys are awesome. I am a new photographer, I learn so much from your videos. My first shoot is next week 😰. Do you guys have some sort of disclaimer forms for the clients to fill out?

Having the kids whisper jokes
That's nice for people who are relatively trim or fit. What about real people? We are all a bit ... um ... well ... you know, these days.
Please remove the subtitles it covers most parts of the video
Just turn it off yourself?
this was so helpful! Thank you
