Hey seriouslycoolful! Yeah I definitely cant take any credit lol! Much wiser and smarter players than me found this little exploit, and its still a great technique even now! 👍👍
for f2p ironmen; i've found the most convenient method for getting magic to 55 is by grinding combat in camdozaal and making the mind rocks (idr what they're called) as you get them and then sitting at cows with an air staff. those rocks are really efficient for runecraft and you can consider each mind rune around 6-12 exp if you're lucky and don't splash. it will take an insane amount of time but you can use high alchemy on loot for the rest of your magic levels by killing forest giants or ogresses for nature runes, (you'll also probably be teleporting and casting superheat a lot) you can get most of your BIS gear for golems without having to do dragon slayer I; the rune chainbody, skirt, vambs, barronite mace and stuff are all things you can wear without oziach's permission so it's also just a great training area in general for getting your other levels up to get further in your account. ily lumby knight
Ahh I have seen a few comments recommending the mind golems for the runes 👌😁 Seems like a great tip! Thanks for sharing 👍 Yeah I was surprised how much the element weaknesses matter! It’s a complete game changer! And yeah everyone forgets about the ice warriors as soon as they get the knights sword done they mostly never go back 😂
This is what i do. Kill mind golems at camdozal casting air strike with the 2 safe spots (you can melee first and mage to regen health), bank when needed. When i have 27 mind cores, i go runecraft at the mind altar. When you start rolling in mind runes, spend fire casts at moss giants, air strike at hill giants. Im saving all my death runes for obor and byro. Try it out. Its fun 😁 You could just buy mind/chaos runes too but i like the levels 😅
Yeah.... I updated 2.0 as 1.0 I messed up Splashing, and then shortly after I did 2.0, they released the elemental weaknesses which changed everything, so had to make this one... 😅😅😅
I'm not sure if I just somehow missed it or if you forgot to mention, with the elemental damage bonus update also came a magic damage update. Air Strike will deal as much damage as Fire Strike once you hit the level for that spell. The spell still gives less base exp (I believe?) but if you're not splashing, Air Strike with a monsters weak to Air spells should be as viable as Fire Strike while being slightly cheaper...
Hello LilGamingYes! Thank you for the detailed comments! So I think I just brushed over it at the start when I said you get +1% accuracy and +1% damage. And yeah I see what you mean, and I'd also say that despite the lower base damage, you would still get more XP in the long run from the weakness bonus as you will hit harder and more often, if that makes sense! Yes you are right its should be level 29, D'oh! Thank you once again! Love comment like this! 😀😀👍👍
I'm honestly surprised that you didn't mention Telegrabbing Wine of Zamorak when bringing up Telegrab. Then again, it does require quite a bit of server hopping to do quickly.
Yeah that was probably an oversight on my part, but I was trying to keep it Ironman friendly, and it’s hard for them to get law runes consistently 😅 definitely something I’ll have to add to my updates though 👍
@@TheLumbridgeKnightVarrock rune shop is scalping us hard lmao. The biggest wall is getting to 55 to start high alching. Then Money won't be as much of an issue.
I think it is a good method! Can be difficult for Ironman to get the cosmic runes and the jewellery. You will need plenty of money to buy the stuff from the GE too 👍👍
Hi Coelier! The easiest way to find out any XP rate is to use the calculators in RuneLite, they work as you skill/fight so, go fight ice giants with each of those spells for half an hour and see what the rate says. If you want to calculate in manually its a bit more difficult, I would say the easiest way is to calculate the DPS using the OSRS DSP calculator (tools.runescape.wiki/osrs-dps/), you can roughly work out your XP/s which you can then convert to XP/h. So for Fire Bolt on an Ice Giant I think with level 40 magic and basic equipment, your looking at a DPS of about 3.866, which we can times by 2 as we get 2 magic XP per point of damage. You would also need to account for the base XP, so 22.5/3 (divide by 3 as you will cast every 3 seconds, so this puts it in seconds), 7.5xp/s. This gives us (7.5+(3.866*2)* 3600) to convert it from seconds to hours, which gives us: 54,835, so about 55k per hour. Assuming my maths is correct... This will be an estimate as it assumes constant casting. I hope that helps you 😅👍
They are not sir! I don't know how I managed to mess that up, but its should be a cost of around 10mil coins and 1,449h hours to cast water strike from levels 5-99. Thank you for spotting that I'll add it to the corrections list! 👍👍👍
Stopped playing around the time eoc dropped, and just barely got back but with a new character this time around. Thanks for all the guides you do!
Welcome back wasd2413! We have all been there man. I took a 20 year hiatus myself 😅 Thanks for the comment sir! 😁👍
'splashing' is so clever, I never would have thought of that

Cheers latinajoseph! That sounds like a great method, I am definitely guilty of overlooking the other golems in the Ruins of Camdozaal. 👍👍👍

Also, for the level 14 scorpions you'd need to be level 29 for them to not attack you, it's twice the NPC level +1.
Good guide nonetheless, much useful information! Just one minor hiccup with the combat level thing which is nothing, really. :)

Use the cursed staff from Django in draynor for splashing as it doesn't give magic bonus

gotta grind magic for f2p high alc to buy a bond! Great Guide tho :D

9950 gp for a pack of chaos runes is downright criminal.
Damn, is that what they cost these days? 😬😬

Someone should make an account that only kills magic casting creatures, there are at least like 9 different wizards
Can always build a ranged pure… the bows are a bit limited unfortunately 😅
Osrs wiki says enchanting is a good magic method to 99

Are the hours to 99 for water strike in the splashing guide table incorrect?
