Great timing. Just started playing OSRS again after about 15 years. Playing f2p and currently focus on getting my magic high enough to have all f2p teleports. Thank you!
No worries at all JohnnyRocket! 😁👍 We’ve all been there, I think I had a similar break myself! Welcome back! Thanks for your support and good luck with the magic training! 👍🍀
Haha OSRS definitely makes you work for it, but that just makes the successes all the sweeter! 😁👍 Glad you are enjoying the game EliTheGleason! And welcome! 😁
I'm really glad you added in the tic manipulation of high alch + splashing/casting once you hit 55. It's how i was training magic on my pure before I made it a member.
I am a lifetime member and have some very good accounts, but your videos are so incredibly valuable to new players. I wish I had this type of stuff when I was a kid playing f2p. Huge ups, seriously.
Thanks for the awesome comment camelbro! 😁👍 it’s much appreciated! And I think I was the same god when I first played the game I wasted so much time doing stupid things 😂😂😂
Cheers Sanguivore! 😁😁👍👍 Glad the videos are helpful! 😅 I don’t know the channel has been growing steadily so hopefully 🙏 it can reach a point where I can do this full time! 🤩
Thanks for all the awesome comments elementallobsterx! Yeah splashing is actually a beast of a method for easy magic training! Can't believe I initially overlooked it! 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Yeah I think there could be a good video in that! For now the best way to sustain coin is definitely to be in members! Thank you for the comment CaptainFrandy! 😁👍
Ahh cool! I mentioned that in my ranged video as a spot to train on to get runes. I could definitely have added it here too 🤦🏻♂️ doh! Thanks for the tip DrDjones!
Honestly, If you really are considering getting your magic to 99 in f2p, you're probably better off just high alching rune equipment off the GE to train magic until you make 11 mil and then buy a bond, I love how considerate these guides are to f2p players, but anything past level 80 for most skills, it gets to a point where you may aswell use your high level to make enough gold to buy a bond.
Ight so you’d recommend in my case to just high alch till i get a bond? I have almost every f2p quest done and like 40-50 in all combat stats and like 57 magic. Lookin for the best route from here, been enjoying training magic n high alch for gp
I tend to agree dragonmateX! From about level 40-50 F2P is extremely difficult/grindy. There are a lot of people who maintain hardcore F2P status though. @thefingerboarderful I certainly recommend giving members a go once you have around base 40 stats and all the quests done. High alching GE items is a good spinner but my caveat is just check its price on the exchange first as some items are more profitable than others. 👍 Thanks for the great comments!
high alching will always be the highest magic exp in f2p, no matter what combination of runes and magic gear you use. you can sleep your way to 65k magic exp per hour versus squeezing 35k out of combat. its not the most glamorous way of getting 99 but it's objectively the quickest, even taking into account the crafting time. just using runelite, you can see this in the skill calculator. put any spell you want into the calculator for magic, there isn't anything as quick as just alching a little over 200k of anything.
Yo QuietGrave! Thanks for the comment, agreed! I have updated the guide to version 3.0 now and yeah high alking will still be the fastest/highest XP rate especially since you can do things like teleporting at the same time to get an even higher rate. Technically, Fireblast on ice warriors is possibly the same or higher rate than high alching due to the elemental weaknesses.
Love the guides! I'm totally new to the game and I've been having such a fun time exploring and learning about all the aspects of it! But when it does get confusing or I'm not sure where to start, your guides really help! Thanks a lot!
Yo Littlelisje_! Thank you for the comment 😀 Its great to know the videos are useful for people, especially new player! Thanks again! 👍👍👍And welcome to the game!
@@TheLumbridgeKnight Yep took a long break as most of us I guess have lol and coming back to it all - sometimes it's better watching a video rather than going through the wiki guide. Can't wait for the next one.
Yeah defy fan of the wiki but sometimes it’s easier to have something a bit more visual, plus in trying out the best methods I often find little tips and tricks that are probably in the wiki but are hidden or understated 🤔
Is there an alternative to hill giants? I'm having problems getting my cash flow going and the strike spells are taking so long to kill that i feel like i might as well be killing something else. Yes, i have watched your money making vids, and idk, i don't feel like I'm making enough money from gold.
Are you playing as an Ironman or normal account? if normal account I did a new money making video that might help you: th-cam.com/video/Vrh1i1v9Pbk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=654YmCbr93h_N0Wc If you are playing an ironman cashflow is always going to be a bit of a pain in F2P. Maybe try splashing if you are using strike spells, to get your level up to about 50-60 magic, then try using fire spells on moss giants or ice warriors. There's an update on elemental weaknesses so you will be more accurate and do more damage against these enemies if you use fire spells. I'm working on this for an updated guide so take it with a pinch of salt, but ice warriors with fire spells are looking like the new best XP rate enemies and they have ok drops. Ogresses are probably the best drops in F2P, but they have high defence and HP, so you need a high magic level.
@@TheLumbridgeKnight Thank you for the reply. It is an ironman account. I'm currently making gold necklaces for my cashflow. If I must splash though, I'm probably going to have to start making mind runes. Two levels away from 50, so not terribly long wait. Gonna have to make mind runes for 99 rcing anyways, lol. I know you'd probably recommend body runes, or something else, but I felt that I'll get the most bang for my buck making mind runes. The elemental runes can be farmed from the wizards south of Falador, and body runes are useful for snare.
Haha that’s true and now you’ve pointed it out I have no idea where I ever got that way of writing it from 😂😂😂 I must just have done it once and then just copied it into everything 😅😅😅
Ahh I think this is the elemental weakness update, I cover it in the updated 3.0 guide here: th-cam.com/video/BgfSG_xdHfk/w-d-xo.html. In short you can get extra accuracy and damage using fire spells against Moss Giants for example.
With the new update to elemental magic what’s the new most efficient F2P spell because of wind strike is the cheapest and it dies the same damage as fire strike now is that the optimal choice when farming now
Yo morrisdennison! Thanks for the comment, is this in reference to the elemental defence changes? If so I think as moss giants are 50% weak versus fire it still makes them a good endgame enemies to hit with fire blast, but fire bolt is probably the next best option so instead of using the other blast spell just use fire bolt all the way instead. I’ll have to have a proper look at it again. It looks like Ice warriors could be one of the best enemies now as they have 100% weakness to fire and 59hp so they are now a better choice than moss giants 😅 definitely going to have to revise the video again 😂 lesser and greater demons for water spells are also a better choice now too!
Yeah, I've updated the guide to 3.0 to cover elemental weaknesses. Hopefully version 3 is finally pretty much there 😅 3rd times a charm right? Thanks for the comment! 👍😅
Yo man! If you are talking about training on the zombie in the sewers you absolutely can! There’s a great spot you see me using in the splashing section of the video. I only don’t really recommend it because there are some more efficient targets, but it’s a good spot for sure!

Thank you PhongAMV! 😁👍 I appreciate your support and the awesome comment!
Tbh id suggest staying at moss giants. Collect keys, and hunt the 1/118 9 mil drop from the boss. Buy a bond with it. Thats the f2p end game
Don’t build the staff if you have the GE. Sell it for a bond and use the members leveling methods
Yeah great tips! I totally agree bermandustin! 😁👍👍
Thanks so much goat, I’m going to build a super rare Strength/Magic pure for low level PKing and I can’t wait to AFK my DPS skill🔥

A little misleading..auto casting with the skull spectre (i) is only for members isn’t it??
You can definitely auto cast crumble undead in F2P, the members auto casting is the for the Arceuus spell book. 👍
A little late but the slash stand for "per". You don't need to say /ph. It would be /hr meaning per hour
