Just can't imagine the amount of concentration need to follow terrain like that so closely. Great vid.

My dad was a commercial airline pilot. He built up his hours in the late fifties, early sixties crop dusting. I think it made him a very hands on pilot. He used to drive co-pilots crazy because he flew the plane. It wasn't just wheels up slap on the auto pilot. He brought to altitude, and took it down. Thanks for the video, it was fun seeing it from this perspective. And next time you guys come through southern Minnesota from Oshkosh, there's a great little grass strip airport nearby, KSYN, I'd be more than happy to cart you guys around to get you to the hotel, food, or whatever.

This is my neck of the woods too. We were in the King Air, departing from PSC to the north and saw a yellow crop duster below us. Might have been Scott. It’s cool watching from above but not nearly as cool as this video.

My father-in-law flew crop dusters in southern and central California for years. He was a C-47 pilot during the war and flew the hump over the Himalayas. I loved going flying with him, he had an Aeronca Champ for years then sold it and flew a Stearman 75 the last few years of his life. God damn, he was a great pilot and a great guy. I miss him a lot.

A crop duster pilot checked my brother out in a Stearman. Brother Bud used to tell the story saying on his 1st trip around the pattern he made a standard take-off and began his climb out to pattern altitude. As he climbed through 400 ft Bube (pronounced Boobee) took the stick and yelled through the intercom “Don’t go so high, Bud, I get a nose bleed if you get any higher!)
