Shorting is coming but it's not a big priority for us because we (sadly) know that most people will lose money using shorting features. Also we are in the bull market, shorting now is not so useful. So we take our time to add it - we will - in fact we are already working on it. But most people should long only imho. Not financial advice of course. Do what you like.
I've set up a bot based on your instructions, but unfortunately, the Signum did not forward the signal to Bybit, or I configured something incorrectly on the Bybit platform. Can trading only be done on Spot in Signum, or is Futures trading also available? In the Gaussian strategy, there are long commands, but unfortunately, nothing happened. This is great but I notice that its accuracy varies with the size of the asset. Works really well with BTC although HODLing since 2018 would have yielded better profits. Thanks for sharing!
Nice but the profit factor can change drastically from asset to asset also the timeframe. Forexample, I have a strategy with 9 profit factor on one asset and 1.4 on another. Also the results change in real life too, depending on slippage, market buy etc..

Interesting video and informative however I have to say the profitability of these strategies is rather misleading. Almost any longing strategy will look good when the asset itself has appreciated so much. This 1800% increase since 2018 doesn't look so great compared to about 7000% increase if just holding the asset.
Dont know what you calculate my friend. If you bought in 2018 at around 6'000USD - your HODL-Gain would be like 1100%. The 7'000% with HODL is true when you both for like 1000USD per Bitcoin
Very insightful videos. There are a lot of videos made by AI on YT about TV indicators that have a high win rate. I'm guessing only that these indicators have public available code to use. But when it comes to the prompt to use (regardless of the indicators used) can the same prompt be used or do you need a specific prompt?

i already make some EA using claude sonnet for mt4, well some have bad result and some good result but need many many improvement cause AI define my strategy very good but dont know good timing for entry. We as trader especially old trader know when the right time for entry cause we have instinct and can manage our psychology that already build for along time. IMO, AI is great tool for us who cannot build code for EA but after that i think we need to choose 2 option, learn about coding or give our code that already made by AI to developer to maximize our EA (really, AI made my EA price cheaper cause developer just need small repair and improvement🤣)

22 trades over 1D timeframe, with this strategy you should have open positions for months ! It’s ok for educational purpose, not on trading purpose. I think you should find a better strategy on lower timeframes, otherwise the few profits will be taken by the margin interests.

Yes, correct, I don't short so I cannot encourage people to short in my videos also. You can change it for your use-cases, but then also be honest and check in the TradingView Performance Summary, how much % profit the strategy made with LONG and with SHORT. Often you will see with SHORT it losses money - but many people don't check that. Please do :) Also this: How much sense does it make to short in general? When SHORT you can make maximum 100% profit (asset can only go to 0). You pay fees. You can get liquidated. You can make only 100%, which forces you to leverage, which get’s you liquidated even faster. When LONG you can make infinite % profit (asset can go to the moon). You don't pay fees. You won't get liquidated (unless you leverage which you don't need to). You tell me :)

Of course you'll have different results on different timeframes (specially on lower ones - don't trade below 4h chart in general imho). Initial Capital settings are irrelevant when using 100% of Capital (which it does).

Thank you for your time and effort but this is known as overfitting and is completely pointless…you can take any strategy on any asset over a certain period and tweak it until it’s profitable
How did you verify that it is not overfitted? There were already many parameters, and now you're adding more, so using three or more params is very likely to lead to overfitting. Additionally, there might not be enough trades to achieve statistical significance. Has any robustness testing been done?
I did not :) This is education on how to add an Indicator to a Strategy (not how to build a general purpose strategy). I know what you mean of course. But I cannot make a 5 hour video explaining all of the aspects at once. I will make a video about overfitting. How I ensure overfitting does not occur: I test the exact same (trend) strategy on hundreds of coins with the same parameters. If it performs well on 90% of them, I like it.

You only show strategies on bitcoin, and the truth is that any strategy would work with bitcoin over the long term because it just shot to the moon over the past 10-15 years. Could you show some strategies on other assets that moved sideways for example and strategies that take both longs and short trades? Yes you are super correct. That can be its own video "How to build a solid non-overfitted strategy". It's super hard btw. It took me years to build the 3 I have, which take care of overfitting by testing them on hundreds of coins before declaring it usable. On TH-cam I cannot go in such depth in every video of course. I can make one video about the topic so people are aware but it basically also means that "almost nobody will have a strategy that is considered good" based on what I will say there, because again, it's super hard to create such strategies. Took me for ever (and I am a developer and I can automate testing easily, which most cannot). I still believe that BTC has the best chances of any asset in the world, that is why when I show strategies I show them on BTC. It's also the most popular asset and every one cares about it basically. Long story to say "you are absolutely right", but I still want to get people to consider strategies and learn about them. Not everyone will become a pro for sure (logically), but that doesn't mean people should not get educated and learn about it so they can make their own decisions - so yes, that video you mentioned is super important - will produce it asap 🙏🏼

My Profit Factor is 3 on the 1D and lower on rest too, same ticker. What are your settings for Initial Capital and such?
Of course you'll have different results on different timeframes (specially on lower ones - don't trade below 4h chart in general imho).
Initial Capital settings are irrelevant when using 100% of Capital (which it does).
@@michaelionita I'm just trying to get the defaults to match what you show. There is settings for how much initial capital, and it defaults to 1000. And I didn't change timeline.

Thank you for your time and effort but this is known as overfitting and is completely pointless…you can take any strategy on any asset over a certain period and tweak it until it’s profitable

How did you verify that it is not overfitted? There were already many parameters, and now you're adding more, so using three or more params is very likely to lead to overfitting. Additionally, there might not be enough trades to achieve statistical significance. Has any robustness testing been done?

How I ensure overfitting does not occur:
I test the exact same (trend) strategy on hundreds of coins with the same parameters. If it performs well on 90% of them, I like it.

You can make only 100%, which forces you to leverage, which get’s you liquidated even faster.

You don't pay fees.
You won't get liquidated (unless you leverage which you don't need to).

You only show strategies on bitcoin, and the truth is that any strategy would work with bitcoin over the long term because it just shot to the moon over the past 10-15 years. Could you show some strategies on other assets that moved sideways for example and strategies that take both longs and short trades?
Also, could you make a video about Overfitting strategy parameters and how to avoid it. I feel like this is absolutely crucial for anyone who will be using automated strategies to know about. Otherwise it will end in disaster

Yes you are super correct.
That can be its own video "How to build a solid non-overfitted strategy".
It's super hard btw.
It took me years to build the 3 I have, which take care of overfitting by testing them on hundreds of coins before declaring it usable.
On TH-cam I cannot go in such depth in every video of course.
I can make one video about the topic so people are aware but it basically also means that "almost nobody will have a strategy that is considered good" based on what I will say there, because again, it's super hard to create such strategies. Took me for ever (and I am a developer and I can automate testing easily, which most cannot).
I still believe that BTC has the best chances of any asset in the world, that is why when I show strategies I show them on BTC. It's also the most popular asset and every one cares about it basically.
Long story to say "you are absolutely right", but I still want to get people to consider strategies and learn about them.
Not everyone will become a pro for sure (logically), but that doesn't mean people should not get educated and learn about it so they can make their own decisions - so yes, that video you mentioned is super important - will produce it asap 🙏🏼
