Hi. I just found this podcast and am sooo excited. What a marvelous needlebook. I have watched a number of tutorials on making needlebooks, but yours is big and will be perfect for what I need! Now to get organized and start sewing. Thanks so much for making this!
You are my HERO I am so tired of misplacing stuff, where did my needle threader go ? Where are those needles ? My seam ripper, I JUST had it in my hands….and on and on. Thank you, I have watched so many videos and you have the BEST one ever for me. Thank you for taking your time to do this
I LOVE this cover! Thank you for doing something different than the million other boring needle book tutorials out there. And I love the scrappiness of it as well! Going to watch part 2 now...
This is great and I'm learning something new. I like that the strips are all different fabrics and that they are not all the same width. Since it's so scrappy, if a strip isn't long enough, I'll just add a piece and make it long enough. I also like the horizontal section at the top and the wonky bit adds dimension, so no worries there. Thank you for the instructions.
ooooh love this Suzie, I have needles all over the place, this is a great idea - keep them all in one place and maybe just have a little one to carry around with me, thanks for the inspiration, I'm going to check out part 2 now, oooh and I see part 3 is there too :)
That was filmed a while ago! yep loads of people nagged me to do a make along for this so yeh 3 videos but its pretty simple to just look at my one and steam ahead!
Love the idea. Beautiful needle book. One request, however. Please show what you are doing. New sewers need to see the process. Hearing the machine in the background is confusing. 😊
Hi Mary, Im really glad you have been inspired to have a go, it's completely customisable to your needs so have all your stuff out that you want to store in it and make pockets etc to suit, enjoy 😁
Another great idea! I've got 3 small needle cases (the first made in 1961) but I can never find the needle I want. How sashiko needles disappear I don't know!! Thanks, Sue, This is just what I need.
Great start. Looking forward to the rest. I picked up felt sheets today but they aren’t proper wool. Can’t find that in the stores. It says it’s pet hair. Makes me feel a bit strange but I thought for playing around, it would be ok. It was not expensive at .99 cents a sheet. Will see how I like it when I make my next needle book.
Hi Martha, my felts were a mix of pure wool and acrylic, it doesn't really matter to be honest, part 2 will be tomorrow and the final part on Friday, thought it would give people time to make their covers etc in-between videos. I hope you enjoy making one.
