It’s such a joy to hear someone so happy about the small things in life. Not that the Hussif was a small job altogether, but your joy at the small wins all the way through had me smiling for the whole video. Thank you for making my day - and it is such gorgeous and useful item!
I love how you treasure your finds in nature then you are able to incorporate them into your amazing creations. You have been gifted with an amazing creative mind. I am so happy and grateful you are generous enough to share your creations and take the time to video them for all of us. I am in awe of your talents. Thank you, thank you, from faraway Australia
Oh this was such a delightful video to watch! Not only have you fashioned yourself a new, uniquely beautiful needle book, but it clearly brought you so much joy in the making of it. Yes I imagine it feels very tactile with the embellishments, yet it looks so soft and comforting to hold in your hand. Love all the needles in their original packets, a lovely reminder of sewing heritage.
Marion, this is genius and so beautiful! I actually clapped when you slipped the little vial into its sleeve. All of your practical experience is of ultimate value in creating artistic, and functional objects. New stitchers are so lucky to have you.
I am so enjoying watching you. I get just as excited as you when you have sewn something down in your hussif. I love watching you enjoy yourself. ❤❤Goodnight dear Marion.
Marion! What a lovely sewing book. And using nature's finds. You are amazing. I loved it when you got a new idea as you were going along , the excitement in your voice.
It was so lovely to see it all come together. I love that you embellished it with things you love and decorated it in your style and even loaded it with the historic needles which connects you to other crafters of the past... How beautiful. That's the sort of item that will be buried with you when you pass on.
Well !!! Very unique & clever is your new needle book/hussif ! I am enjoying your channel so much Marion ! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I enjoy your thought process too !!! 🪡🧵💙
Marion....I absolutely loved this project, I felt your enthusiasm and love of your finished case ...it also gave me so much joy....thank you, thank you. Adore you channel, so inspiring.
Hello Marion. I LOVE your hussif. Especially all your beach finds and the leather fixings. It reminds me of mine. I made it from clothing scraps and fabric that I'd hand dyed, and I use it all the time. My needle book isn't attached, but fits in a pocket. It holds all my sewing necessities in one place. And I'm very fond of it. Odd what makes us stitchers happy. 😊❤
Had to pause at the point you finished the closure to say it's absolute genius and your joy at it's success made me smile from ear to ear. 😊 Now going to watch the rest. ❤
I wish I could give this video more than one 👍! How lovely to hear you so delighted with your creation, and rightly so. This was the very best part of my day today, thank you for sharing your joy!
Blow, I threw a worn pair of leather gloves out last week while packing for our move. My husband has been urging me to lessen my craft stash, so I compromised by not adding to it. I can't wait to move and get started on some of your wonderful ideas. Meantime I have a small piece of slow stitching on the go, with minimum colours and threads, a hexie epp project and my crochet blanket for the evenings
If you want it for your creativity have designated storage fir your stuff keep it for a few years dead line if want ,need it if get to full in your rcyle gold mine, only you should decide thus if not a hoarder takes a few years to get it in to your creativity unless you sharing your creative space with another over spill into their space 😉🕊️🫶🐦2024🪵🐉 Epic Soar 🪶O4🙏🗽🇺🇸🦅🌞
Hi, Marion! I love your needle book with the beach finds and the connections to history. You have such great ideas😊 "Better done than perfect"... words to remember.
Dear Marion, your unabashed joy over your creation here is contagious and makes me so happy and inspired. Creating makes me very happy too, and somehow watching you keeps me motivated - even when I’m feeling stuck. Bless you for that. 🤗❤️🥰 Your hussif is amazing and magical in so many ways.
This project joins the practical with the beautiful and shows that one needs not exclude the other. I love all the ingenious ideas you've had of incorporating your finds as well as your sewing notions in the case. It's complete and unique. No wonder you're so pleased with it. Thanks for all your inspiring work.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing your needle book finished. The materials you used gave it a lovely vintage look. It also looked really tactile to hold in your hands and use. As always you are clever and resourceful . I can understand you getting great satisfaction when your plans come together. You work very hard to show us your creations. Thank you.
I love your needle book and all the special techniques you showed us. OMGosh-the final flip-thru is so beautiful and I'm happy just from hearing your joy for the way it turned out. You should definitely be proud and I love the quote for the day, "Better done than perfect." I'll remember that as well.
I fell in love with hussifs 20 years ago. I made one for each of my sisters-inlaw and best friend. They all treasure them to this day. You, my dear, could be my twin sister. Having watched you make this Hussif with all your brilliant ideas, the needle case I was going to make is now going to be a Hussif. Having seen the original idea you had for closing it gave me the idea of using a piece of old clay pipe which was amongst the many items found when I had an allotment. I too have a collection of old packets of needles, old bone and metal crochet hooks, some of which I still use when making crochet items for my dolls house. Marion you are a joy to watch. Thank you.

Lovely Lady, I'm so glad that I find your channel.🤗 You are a great teacher, you explain every thing very clear. It's a pleasant to meat you every time. Thank you Marion for your video. What an amazing project a lovely Hussif. I got so excited with you over the thumb of the globe I clapped, which is funny at 4am 😂. This is so what I was thinking of. I knew a little needlebook was no use to me but I had never seen anything larger. This will fit the bill, you know we need to change our needle size and type often in the sort of stitching we do so we need instant access. Some of my students gave me as a retirement gift a whole range of sizes and types of needles and that's the bundle of packets I have been struggling with. This project means I can have one of everything to hand, excited to start.
Brilliant Carol. I hope it all comes together as nicely as mine did. As you could see from the video I quite often make it all up as I go along... This was a time when it all just turned out perfectly 😊🪡🧵

Marion, I enjoy your videos and your projects. You have such a love for what you make, and the joy in your voice and on your face is so inspiring and encouraging. Thank you for another wonderful tutorial ❤❤❤
The fingertips from leather gloves make lovely thimbles for quilting and if you combine two fingertips (one inside the other from a larger and smaller finger) make very nice fitting thingies that fit just right. Thank you dearest Marion. Your needle book is a joy filled work of art.
It’s such a joy to hear someone so happy about the small things in life. Not that the Hussif was a small job altogether, but your joy at the small wins all the way through had me smiling for the whole video. Thank you for making my day - and it is such gorgeous and useful item!

Thank you for another wonderful tutorial ❤❤❤
Thanks Sheila 💐
The fingertips from leather gloves make lovely thimbles for quilting and if you combine two fingertips (one inside the other from a larger and smaller finger) make very nice fitting thingies that fit just right.
Thank you dearest Marion. Your needle book is a joy filled work of art.
I use it every day and love it!
Gosh you are one smart and creative lady using that glove the way you did! It’s amazing and what a delightful needle book. I so love your channel!
Thank you Lisa 😊
