I not even kidding you I was just listening to this song on my way home and I said to myself ‘what the hell when is Sped finally going to do November Rain solo tutorial’ and I saw this pop up 15 min later. I don’t believe in coincidences so I can only assume you made it just for me. Thank you.
Thanks! Making progress thanks to your excellent vids. Now if I can figure out how to string bend w/o unwanted neighbor string noise. I hope you have a great Christmas! Thank you again for the time and effort in making the videos. Best Regards! -Joe
Wow I've just found this tutorial, thank you! I've been trying to nail this solo for a couple of months and I've finally nailed it, albeit at a slower tempo. Now I can focus on the speed. Best solo ever.
I am just learning this solo and all I need was your tutorial with attention to every detail. Amazing. You earned my sub. On a side note: the quality of your video is astonishing. Hi-res, it is so sharp that almost cuts my eyeballs. Out of curiosity, I checked your website and that is also super-super cool. Your content really excels YT trash. 🎸 No show-off, no clowning, pure music. And that tone, OMG... Update: Unfortunately, there is some clowning.
This bit was a huge part of my late teens. Finally being able to play it “tidy” myself is unbelievably cool. Thanks so much for posting this! I’ve learned more form you online than anywhere else for certain.
I acually like the dirty at 17:19 and was abler to get the clean but worked hard to get the dirty as that gives it more emotion, as if the guitar is crying combined with the repeated phrases after this.
Sped - Incredible channel and incredible aptitude for delivering the nuances of some of the rarely covered Zep (& GNR) tunes. If I might be so bold, would like to make a request that I think will keep you in that unique arena of covering songs/snippets not covered by others. Please consider breaking down the Jennings Farm Blues motif; TSRST Whole Lotta Love Boogie Mama/Shake for Elvis break; & Swan Song (been a few since you broke out the acoustic). And, if you're feeling froggy the break of La La, roughly 1:26 into the song. Thanks again for everything you do for the Zep community. 🤙
Oh my days, i've been struggling to play this using Songsterr for a few days now, that decending run was killing me. Makes so much more sense when you explain the scales used and showed what finger to pick with. I'm not quite there but almost! The notes used on the songsterr version made no sense and just didn't flow at all.
That part from the book was extremely interesting and thought provoking. I have never given Slash much of a chance because I couldn't stand his look. Lately though I'm really starting to learn what a great guy he is, not just in terms of a guitar legend, but as a human as well! I feel guilty (and stupid) for judging a book by it's cover. That's something I've been trying not to do anymore. It makes you miss out on things that you might end up really enjoying and appreciating. I'm sorry Slash! I'm sure he follows your channel and reads the comment lol! If he doesn't he should start because it's the best guitar channel on TH-cam! He could learn something from you!
That was absolutely as sweet as a nut mate 😁😁💯 What an incredible solo. Your bends control is a amazing. Fantastic tutorial Sped. So many useful tips and insights Guna have to get me very cool hat to help out on the Teeny weeny frets etc 😁😁 Seriously your tutorials are top notch and you make them so much fun to watch. love being part of your Patreon. 💯Thanks 👍

Older beginner here. This is such a beautiful solo. My said, “you gotta learn this one”. This is the best lesson I found. How do I get that sound on my Strat? I have a hot rail pickup on the bridge.
fantastic lesson!! I obviously need the hat and the hair as well since I can't seem to grasp that little fast, slurring run....Thanks for this lesson!!!
Amazing video buddy! Do you maybe have a vid explaining how to get the sound effects on the amp? (Maybe without any special effect and just the ones that we find in our amps? ^^)
I can already play it, but you did a fine job here on the playing and the lesson. Nice lick at 20:19. Consider gifting us with it. Because you know, ..we're poor. Like in a Dickens novel. I'd better go out and busk for a loaf of bread. The children are crying.
Hello bro, you do it perfectly, I have a question, after doing many bends your frets don't stay flat on top and lose their rounded shape, it's because in your videos I see them perfect, congratulations for your videos from Spain 🎸
Ok well a couple of things, #1. Your tone is amazing!! Also your hair, ok that being said I loved this and once you kinda mapped it out for me I can just close my eyes crank up the Marshall Plexi and Gold Top Les Paul and let myself run wild and free into the solos. I was always afraid to try this one for some reason, Kinda like me going into a Mexican restaruant and trying to speak Spanish ( or spell RESTARUANT) I obviously cant do it. ANyhooo I really dug this lesson and you play amazing Thanks
Great Lesson Sped : I Was late Teens Early 20s When Guns,n,Roses we’re Massive,See them at Wembley about 91 UYI Tour , This Lesson takes me back Slash was/is an Absolutely Incredible Guitarist cos it’s all soul and feel with him he had a bit of Jimmy Page and bit of Mick Taylor in his playing as well as other’s, but it was always his own thing as well, .. Great Stuff, Great Memories .🌞⭐️❤️👍🏻🙏
Gives me goosebumps. Hard to believe it’s a major scale. Do you think the half step down tuning turns the happy scale into something so “spooky” sounding? Certainly brings out the emotions or “grabs you by the balls”, as they say…
Hi Sped! What do call that thing you did with your fingers on the left are pressing on the strings and sliding the strings up and it makes does beautiful howling sound? I don't know how to play guitar but I like listening to it. I've notice that on your Guns N Roses videos that Slash does a lot of that thing. It is @ 6:48
Great Content you got me back into playing guitar. Question what gauge strings do you play with? I recently tried 8 gauge! lol they’re super slinky I can’t even fret a D major chord without it sounding muddy under too much finger pressure. Thanks again!
One more thing since I feel like we are friends now. Is the outro solo still in the same key. It has the flat chords going on and I can't help thinking it's a key change but I am noodling around with trying to figure it out and it seems like maybe it's still C major? How can this be there are no sharps or flats in the key of C? OH SHIT WAIT I GOT IT!!! Man youre a great teacher!!
Now all you need is the Joe Perry Les Paul to play this on! Hey Sped, do you ship to the Canary Islands? I think I need one of those bad-ass mugs... maybe two.

That's a pull-off after a slide and it's overdriving the amp and making a kind of howl like you said. Usually more common when you hit two strings.
