Get a vintage airconditioner they last much longer and the air is so much colder, while older ones MAY be less efficient, they cool much better. Hope this helps!
I have artic king window unit. My whole digital panel is lit up . Its throwing air at high speed but the digital panel says 8.8 Anyone know what my.probelm may be? Thank you in advance
@Kevin Cook Outside air sometimes can get into the inside of these units because their not designed for cold weather. It probably got into the evaporator area where the thermostat is.
I have had the 12k btu for about 14 years now and it still works to this day. I have never uninstalled it for winters. Its starting to make noise occasionally when I turn it on. I think it may need some new bearings or something it. I have not tried to find the source of noise or researched yet. I have noticed that keystone makes one that looks identical, remote and all. I'm trying to pin that coincidence down. If it is basically the same unit that I have then I feel like they have built a machine worthy of repurchase. It has been extremely reliable with no issues what so ever with the exception of the recent noise issue.

Even big name brands produce cheaper models to compete with these that can sometimes also be garbage

Wait, was that reading 33 degrees? Thats way to cold to be running and AC! Try it when the thermostat reads the temperature over the set point.
You realize some show Celsius others show Fahrenheit

Check is the "energy mode" is on!!! Cause that make the AC off or the "sleep curve" all have to be off
