Gosh how this makes me weep. On New Year's Eve last year I knew I was speaking for the last time with my Grandma, I could tell from her voice. She told me how proud she was of me and to have a happy new year, no matter what happens. I knew in that moment she was signing out. My Grandma was a pianist, played for the local operatics and loved Josh. For her birthday we surprised her with tickets to his concert, this happened a couple of times. At her funeral she asked his rendition of Over the Rainbow to be played. Now 9 months since she passed, I heard this song and hadn't actually ever acknowledged it. The opening lyrics "sorry but it's hard to talk, when time is so short, I would like to tell you so many things, but I can't find the words"....wow, exactly how I feel when I think about the last time I heard my Grandma's voice. And now I start grieving all over again.... Until we meet again Grandma

Gosh how this makes me weep.
On New Year's Eve last year I knew I was speaking for the last time with my Grandma, I could tell from her voice. She told me how proud she was of me and to have a happy new year, no matter what happens. I knew in that moment she was signing out.
My Grandma was a pianist, played for the local operatics and loved Josh. For her birthday we surprised her with tickets to his concert, this happened a couple of times. At her funeral she asked his rendition of Over the Rainbow to be played.
Now 9 months since she passed, I heard this song and hadn't actually ever acknowledged it. The opening lyrics "sorry but it's hard to talk, when time is so short, I would like to tell you so many things, but I can't find the words"....wow, exactly how I feel when I think about the last time I heard my Grandma's voice.
And now I start grieving all over again....
