I cannot thank you enough for making these videos! Makes studying for my ultrasound schools so much more clear being able to see the normal vs pathology
thank you so much. im sorry but i find it hard to differentiate mucinous cystadenoma and that of ovarian hyperstimulation. theres are all multiple cysts right how can you telk the difference
I had an ovarian torsion & an 11cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. I woke up & felt a stabbing pain one morning that was I couldn’t ignore a few months ago…I had to have it removed.
Thank you! I got my ultrasound photos sent to me without being told what any of it means (I see the doctor after the weekend) but it’s cruel to make me wait with all these pictures not knowing if I have normal ovary’s or not 😅
Thank u for sharing knowledge. as i am a beginner, can u tell me the difference b/w cloted blood in overy and dermoid as they produce almost same echogenic image.
Thanks for watching! Clotted blood in ovary will resolve over time. It can also have posterior acoustic enhancement. Most patients present with pelvic pain. A Dermoid will not resolve over time. It often contains hyperechoic materials (teeth, hair, etc). Most patients are asymptomatic.
hello, i have an irregular period cycle since they first started when i was 15 years old and antil now they are almost the same (im 23) . Now im trying to have a baby but my periods hasn't come for 3 months( which is a bit normal for me bc all time like this) i went to the gencologe and she says to me i have polycystic syndrom but when i was doing the eko i saw the photos like you gave for a normal uterus. And she explained to me that is like na grape vine. Plss isnt my gencologe good and want to profit or something else😭😭😭
Hello. I'm sorry to hear that. The uterus can appear normal in polycystic ovarian syndrome. In polycystic ovarian syndrome, the ovaries are affected, not the uterus. Please follow up with your Gynecologist. Best Wishes!

Very informative and impressive video sir. Can you share an individual video of ovarian torsion? The vascular it you is absent in torsion, then how is whirlpool sign seen and where? Myself Dr. Shuchita Batra (Gynaecologist from India)
Can an endometrioma have no solid component rather have mirco hemorrhagic debris floating inside? Size went from 9.5 to 10.9 within 3 months. Patient is on dienogest 2 mg/day.
@@DrSamsImagingLibrary Thank you so much for replying. Can a 10 cm cyst actually destroy/kill an ovary to the point it isn't seen in the ultrasound? Doctors aren't clearly explaining why actually the ovary isn't found. The cyst is described as an adnexal cystic lesion in right tubo ovarian region but the right ovary isn't visible. Please respond.
@@masterprocastinator8884 Thank you. A large cyst may displace the ovary out of the field of view of ultrasound probe. An MRI may help in further diagnosis of such cases.

Thanks for watching! Ovarian Hyperstimulation is mostly bilateral whereas mucinous cystadenoma is unilateral.

Yes. An endometrioma mostly consists of dark, thick blood and this gives a "chocolate cyst" appearance. These can vary in size over a period of time.
