Me and my family are moving to Alaska in about a week. We’re having a super hard time finding a rental in the Fairbanks area. I have a job and they want me to start may first. Can you help us in any way? I’ve been watching your videos for a couple months and I get a lot of good info from them. Having two dogs also is making it hard to get into a rental.

You know that's a great question but I really have no clout in Fairbanks. Since the housing changes at the base, it's created a real shortage in Fairbanks. Have you tried searching the Facebook marketplace for other options?

Back in the oil days there were VERY few wealthy families that bought up properties and turned them into rentals. Over the decades the winners and losers started to shake out and now Alaska is another aristocratic feudal state where you have the whos who living around Campbell lake and some other areas. So if your a new comer you better be making ALOT of money.
The 300 lb gorilla is that inflation is raising on everything but wages which is why almost no one can move for work or have kids.
