I normally don't listen to covers of bands that hold a special place in my heart, mostly because I have such fond memories of the originals that I don't want to hear someone tarnish them. But you all did The Sundays justice with this. Thank you for showing such respect to the music.
Same here. I used to listen to Blind reading the Silmarilian back in 93, and I still listen to them on a weekly or so basis. And them B sides are sometimes better (Nothing Sweet) then the great songs on the albums.
I'm 47 and have been a fan of The Sundays since their first album came out. I don't normally like cover versions but wow....she absolutely nailed it. Excellent.
Huge fan of Sarah and this show..Even bigger die hard fan of The Sundays. Harriet Wheeler has the most incomparable angelic voice and great job covering this song for all us Sundays fans.
Wonderful cover. No one can sing like Harriet Wheeler, but Sarah Jarosz adds her own vocal flare to it, as do the band. With the country elements, I'm reminded of The Waterboys in their Celtic era. Well done!
OMG! I'm Stunned by this Harriet Wheeler was themost incredible voice Ive ever heard and Sarah destroys this. Sarah I met you @ Rockygrass many moons ago. Thanks so much for this you nailed it. I knew you would be amazing
Great cover of one of the best bands to ever exist. Would love for Sarah to cover other Sundays songs like Leave This City or You’re Not The Only One I Know
Nice version, like the vocal nuances. I heard a really atmospheric version of this song by Seven Words and it made me want to hunt down the original...classic dream pop!
They'll be back again eventually. They are on different things at the moment, but Sara and Sean are working together at the moment. They had been on tour before COVID-19. Maybe they'll resume when it passes.
I love how Sarah opens her eyes wide scanning the audience to access how the lyric "England my country, home of the free, such miserable weather" goes down with the midwesterner 'Minnah-soh-tans'. That was kind of a tell. LOL. As an aside, I love The Sundays and I think she just killed this tune.
I wonder how many people are aware that Sarah and "I'm with Her" had just returned from a 30 day tour of Australia less than a day before this performance?

Watching in 2024 and still gold ✨
The Sundays are one of my favourite bands ever and this is a great cover!

To do this song justice, one needs to bare her soul. Thank you Sarah for your brilliant light.
First time I heard a truly good cover from The Sundays. And their songs are almost 30 years old!
The subtle creativity of incorporating the banjo and violin (not to mention her voice) makes this a great cover to a great song.
Very good version of one of my favourites band ever :)
Whoa, this is just staggeringly great.
I literally cried from happiness while watching this. Such a beautiful cover
Awesome. Love Sarah, and have loved the Sundays since 1990. Great cover.
You made me cry. That`s a song I love since my teenage years...
very beautiful and transformative cover :) the violin and backing vocals added a lot
So lovely to hear these amazing songs reaching new talent, 30 years after we first heard them.
Wonderful cover. No one can sing like Harriet Wheeler, but Sarah Jarosz adds her own vocal flare to it, as do the band. With the country elements, I'm reminded of The Waterboys in their Celtic era. Well done!
Bravo. As a Sundays' fanatic, this was fantastic.
Amazing!!! ❤
This is the next best thing to hearing the actual band. Great rendition.
Just awesome. I wish i could give it 12 million likes
Awesome! Good to honor The Sundays and Harriet’s voice.
Just gorgeous. So glad someone is listening to Harriet

Nice vocal performance. She’s pretty much spot on.
Wow!!!
Do they do more Sundays songs? This is so brilliant!!!!
Sweet!

Nice homage
Bravo
I liked the arrangement. And the duet.
Harriet Wheeler casts a mighty large shadow, even thirty years later.
No fanatic but I have all Sarah's stuff through youtube premium music app. Got me playing Uke.
Such an amazingly beautiful performance...but what's with the sound of somebody tuning at the 2 minute mark??
I wonder how many people are aware that Sarah and "I'm with Her" had just returned from a 30 day tour of Australia less than a day before this performance?
Is that Sarah's octave mandolin that Chris is playing? Or his own?
It is Sarah's!
素晴らしいカバーをありがとう
Guitars are "NOT" making the music here. Voice over the D is just amazing. She is the music.
epicfccccc
A very challenging song...Sarah is continually improving in vocal skills because she's unafraid to try something new..!
Really challenging! Nice job SJ!
Great mix. Great voice! And I might be mistaken, but she do be looking thicc tho
When this is the best recording of any sundays song including their own...
Pale version. Too shrill. I like Sarah's own music, but this doesn't do her or The Sundays justice. Sorry.
Hate the weird country backup twang sound vocals and the banjo, terrible, but still pretty good cover.
Wonderful :)
