Der reissende Himmel bezwingt sich und in einer zauberhaften Dämmerung kommt die Welt zur Ruhe.
Regen. Endlich, Regen.
Kaum sehe ich noch eine Tankstelle. Kein Licht zieht vorüber. Zu viel Regen, mein Blick ist verwischt, oder sie sind schon weggefahren.
Eine leere Welt ist’s, leer und ausgeschöpft und matt.
Doch endlich lässt die Luft sich den Staub ausspülen.
Und so sieht Werther mich, so beim Fenster, weinend, als ob er mich sieht und kennt.
Nicht: Schwester, Mutter, Pflegerin, Diplomatin, Koch, Schulter zum weinen, Rock zum verstecken, sondern: Charlotte.
Ich werde gesehen und kann nur weinen.
Translation:
