Hello I recently purchased a DSI XL and it was working fine until the screens started flickering, I was messing with the 2 screws near the battery and it seemed to make it a bit better but not completely normal. I ended up opening the unit and reseating some ribbon cables I could find. Still same result. I tested the DSI XL while holding the battery and I accidentally moved it a couple times which turned it off. To my surprise, now it’s not turning on anymore!! I tried reseating all the cables I messed with again but no luck. Now it just shows an Orange light blinking when plugged in. I’m no expert but I believe I might need to replace the power board. Would you happen to offer any advice for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@1up_Gaming Thanks for your feed back, I was able to get the DSI to power back on after replacing the power board unfortunately both screens are still flickering. I already tried messing with the screws next to the battery. It makes it look better but not the best. Do you think the motherboard may need to be replaced as well? Because what are the odds of both screens and/or ribbon cables going bad at the same time? And I also noticed what looks like to be screen burn in but I didn’t think that was possible on an LCD. Any thoughts?
The problem is not in the board, nor the screens, the problem is in the WiFi module, it is the small plate that is connected to the two cables that provide Internet to the ds

It could just be the fuse in the power board. If the fuse is ok, the power board is pretty straight forward to replace though 👍

Where can I buy a new motherboard for my dsi xl? I need to fix mine
You’re best looking for a faulty machine tht has a smashed screen, that’s the cheapest / easiest way to get a replacement board that I’ve found
I am buying a nintedo dsi 25th anniversary mario thats broken so after i get it i'll see whats wrong with the board and find parts
