To fix your not melty marshmallow problems, I recommend using mini marshmallows, I've used some pretty old mini marshmallows and they don't have that problem (in my experience)
Even if they keep the big ones it helps to cut them smaller before cooking. I also think the temp of the pan maybe too high, which is why the sugar is carnalizing before melting.
@@haygrl6272 yeah, that's smart. It would especially help if they cut them up because it's mainly the outside that is stale so it would open up the not stale part of the marshmallows.
A tiny bit of water in the pan might help, too. They're stale because they dried out, more than anything. Water will keep the temperature down and help the outside dissolve.
Yep. I regularly melt marshmallows at work for a "cheat" nougat recipe and after much trial and error, we only buy the miniature kind because the big kind don't melt that well even fresh...
I support Katelyns hard work to cover the Takis. I was halfway busy and didn’t listen, just went “oh, new video!”. Was a total surprise when you lifted the box😂
You guys should definitely try putting marshmallows in a dehydrator and experiment more with the whole frying stale marshmallows thing because that looks delicious

this is such a fun series, really impressed with how the takis did. This is probably mentioned elsewhere but the reason why the cereal products are doing better is probably because air is introduced into them when created so they start our light and fluffy. That's contributing to the finished product being less dense.
I see people commenting that Magic Broccoli Rice Krispies need to happen. I agree with this! 😂 This episode was so cool though! I like, kinda want to actually make the sweet chili ones now tbh XD Y’all have such fun videos I love it!
The fact that the pan-fried marshmallow was so good it erased the word “marshmallow” from Evan’s mind is a testament to just how mind blowing the experience was.
The reveal is important! I have no idea what the Takis is, didn't bother reading the title or paying much attention to the thumbnail, I just saw your big grinning face and clicked on it. Besides, the reveal is always fun!
Fun fact: Taki bags actually have different heat levels-non-spicy, mild, hot, and extreme. Both the Fuego and Blue Heat Takis are in the extreme heat category, while the Sweet Dragon Chili flavor is in the hot category (or mild, I can't really tell. IDK if anyone already knew this, i just thought I might share this little tidbit of information)
I think it's hilarious that takis come in the flavors of red and blue. Not barbecue or chipotle or someting. It's like how the fake grape flavor just tastes like purple.
You guys reacting with so much joy to the panfried stale marshmallow reminds me of when I waffled leftover cinnamon rolls. Freshly baked cinammon rolls? Meh. Days old cinnamon rolls heated up in a waffle iron? ~ _Heavenly_ ~ I unironically think homemade cinnamon rolls is absolutely worth making just to have as leftover to waffle over the week.
I had to try the fried old marshmallows. I had some old vegan ones at home and it worked! They where great!! 😋🍳😂 They taste a bit like Swedish soft knäck. Which is a form of Christmas toffee/caramel that can be completely hard or a bit soft like this.
23:46 I feel like you should try making the ultimate hybrid crispy treat with Reeses puffs, bacon bits, peanut butter, and just a few small shards of takis. So that the takis flavor is like little flavor bursts in some bites but is not constant and overwhelming. It can even be both red and blue shards for a more colorful aesthetic.

I was kinda hoping you'd make a version with both red and blue just to see if the colors would blend together, or a 50% red version after trying the first one and noticing it was too strong, but it was still a pretty fun watch!
You guys gotta use the mini marshmallows for these, they melt faster so they won't brown on the outside before the middle is melted, the large marshmallows are for smores or campfires!
you should try changing the marshmallow type rather than replacing the rice crispies. Put the marshmallows in a ziplock bag when you are done. They don’t go “bad” but they do dry out and if there is not enough moisture they fry not melt
