Thanks for making the video. I replaced mine recently . The screw that is hidden was easily removed with a homemade tool. I duct taped a t20 bit to a combination wrench.
I don't know what is up with Ford and blower motors, I had to change one in my 76 F250 back in the 80's in 20 below. It was a couple hours and a pain in the butt, the 70's Era Chevys you could change in about 10 minutes with 3 bolts that were very accessible on the firewall from the engine compartment. I was looking at helping my nephew change his in a 2013 F350, luckily it was the relay because it looks like a nightmare!! I did my 2011 Ram 3500 and was thinking about how tough the Ford would have been to do. The Ram turned out to be a cake walk. Come on Ford get your poop in a group!!

I was about to do this...mine was making a clunking rotational sound and when on MAX & Recirculation it put out like a prom date...slow and no wind..but before I removed everything I took a rubber mallet and whacked it twice and it is blowing like a thai masseuse..hard and fast. Good video though. If it craps out I now know what to do!
Did you by chance have the ability to see the evaporative coil while you had the blower out. I have a high pitch wine from the blower that I wanted to remove the blower and check. If I am able to see the evaporative coil at the same time, I was going to clean the coil to hopefully keep the coil from failing to early.
0n the f150 but the super duties f250 f350 have 450 the diesel engines go pretty far under the dash and there is absolutely no room to drop it out without removing the fuse box a buddy of mine had to take the whole dog house out of his 🙄
It’s been so long since I’ve done this and I haven’t owned that pickup for 3 years. If I recall taking that wrapper out of the fan did help some. Can’t hurt to try on yours. These pickups don’t have a cabin filter. Maybe you have a blend door stuck too?
How did you get the last screw? Where do I get one of those bit things he shows at 3:28-3:48? This is a project I have to finish, but stuck on that last screw.

Evan Bountinas I didn’t end up replacing it. It was making a weird noise at higher speeds and not moving air like it should. All it ended up being was a gum wrapper laying in the middle of the fan blades. Thanks ford for not having a cabin air filter.
@@aravenaindustries6747 Yeah, its a ford and parts are made in mexico. Its all junk and brakes. I tested to make sure i had power going to the blower motor before i changed it. Had power. Changed the blower motor and now is all good. Its really fun trying to do this job. God bless!

I’ve replaced 50 blower motors and this 2016 f250 is the worst engineering I have ever seen a normal 10 min job into 2 hours

The 2015 f-250s are the worst, you got less than an inch to remove/install the last bolt on the blower motor

Why would u take off the fuse box? The blower comes right down after taking 3 screws.
