  • On October 25, 2021 my husband and I moved with our 8 children from The United States of America to Gambia, Africa! We made this move without a backup plan! We are an African American family moving back to Africa. Going back home to Africa is a dream come true for our family. We'd like to share this journey with other families who would like to know what life is life moving to Africa from America.

    Although I’m not a parent, I am an elder sibling so I deeply deeply sympathize with modern Muslim parents trying their best to raise their children in the best way possible (deen-wise). I really hold all of the parents burdens on my shoulders. I feel so sad every time i see an agenda being pushed in children’s books/movies because I know most parents aren’t really acknowledging what’s going on. It’s alright though because we know that Allah is with us and with every hardship, comes ease💓. I myself was led astray growing up but with time, I finally realized what the truth is. We all have our paths/journeys and I just hope you and your family are kept on the straight path, along with the rest of the Ummah, insha’Allah. I just discovered your channel and I’m in love! You guys give me positive vibes and just LIFE. Mashallah🥰 Keep it up sis!!

    You made the best decision to receive Allah's Mercy in this life, and definitely in the Hereafter. Sadly, many Muslims are not intoxicated on alcohol, but instead, they are drunk on misguidance, ignorance of Islam, disobedience, arrogance, and pathways that will lead to their detriment (intellectually, morally, and spiritually as Muslims). May Allah Protect and Support you and your family in your endeavors.

      The Ancient Hebrews were ISLAM, please know I am absolutely not talking about the modern day Religion,
      Ancient ISLAM is a WAY of Life -
      I
      Submit to the
      Law (Towrah) of
      ALLAH' (ALLUAH is the Hebraic term) MOST HIGH = ISLAM
      Shalom Aleichem / A'salaam Aleikum

    • @Aeon1019
      @Aeon1019 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Michael Smith As Alykum brother! Let me simply state this - Judaism and Islam were NEVER religious facades they were a WAY OF LIFE - modesty and piety under the guidance of Torah/Tawrah. Our enemies created these Religious FACTIONS in an effort to divide and conquer the seed of Ibrahim.
      Surah 17:2
      [17.2] And We gave Musa the Book and made it a guidance to the children of Israel, saying: Do not take a protector besides Me;
      [17.3] The offspring of those whom We bore with Nuh (NOAH); surely he was a grateful servant.
      [17.4] And We had made known to the children of Israel in the Book: Most certainly you will make mischief in the land twice, and most certainly you will behave insolently with great insolence.
      [17.5] So when the promise for the first of the two came (Issa and Muhammed), We sent over you Our servants, of mighty prowess, so they went to and fro among the houses, and it was a promise to be accomplished.
      Both Issa and Muhammad were Hebrews direct descendants from the lineage of Ibrahim and BOTH lived a certain lifestyle and NEVER followed a Religion, if anything they spoke against it and were targets. To this day MANY are under a Religious Banner verses simply LIVING A LIFE OF PIETY and Modesty keeping Tawrah (covenant of grace and forgiveness) to gain the eternal.

    I’m going to straight up sis… I’m not a religious man, but I truly appreciate the conversation! Even though I have no experience walking in the shoes if someone of your faith, I can see how the West would make it extremely difficult especially when it comes to raising your family. And we all know what religions are “acceptable “ in this land of “freedom”. If the motherland gives you strength in your faith, I would say that you have absolutely won the war.
    Side note: the great education argument in the US is such a misconception and half truth… it’s really ridiculous. There is so much education abroad that is so much better! The U.S. is a name-brand, you are not getting anything but a diploma with name recognition, doesn’t make you smarter than anyone else. Your family will be much better for getting away.

Now i seen a brother point a AK at another brother was disheartening some of the people seem it's just a evilness and young people young men and young women killing, shooting it makes me pray more than before. The naysayers haven't a clue and, in fact, they're living in the material world. They don't understand that for those who believe, there is nothing the material world has to offer that can equal earning the Favor of Allah (swt). May He bless you for your intention; in this way even if you fail (and i pray you don't) Allah (swt) will grant you what you intend. Actually, i have contemplated making a similar move as the US increasingly seems determined to follow the shaitan.

    True sister very well said .
    This richness one day gets into people's head .
    People become severely depressed and loose the focus and motivation.
    That's very common in rich & developed countries.
    You don't know what real life is and what's your purpose of life.
    MashAllah you made a very wise decision. 👌

    I love the simple low key relaxed life in Africa in Morocco is like that too it s not as stressful as US the only problem is finding jobs other then that life is much enjoyable and you can hear adhan everywhere and there is always a masjid near by whenever it s time to pray you just have to walk in and finish prayer and the. Continue going where you want to go
