- Quick video on using an ultrasonic cleaner to clean a motorcycle carburetor using simple dish soap. I ended up running the bowl about 10 min longer than the video shows and it turned out great. Results may vary.
Enjoy!
I use dawn soap and hot water in a zip lock bag. It keeps the tank clean. Great video.
Thanks for the pointer!
Sounds brilliant. Does it work well?
@@freecheese4143 I leave it in for 1 hour and it's clean as can be. Just blow it out with air when done.
I bought a small ultrasonic cleaner for my wife's jewelry years ago. I've been known to sneak it out of the closet and use it for cleaning a few non-jewelry items. 🤫 They work great!
I worked in a Laboratory for a well known Fortune 100 company.
We used this formula or plain water.
Awesome. I like it. Very cool. The wizard you are.
😁👍🏼👍🏼
Cool ill try it👍
I just recently got the bigger one from harbor freight. Freaking love it for carbs. I have tried vinegar solution. Idk exact maybe a cup or two per tank. It works really good but turns the aluminum a little dark. No biggie I always glass bead blast after I clean. But if there not really dirty I use dawn
But did you know you can stick parts In a bag or a small container then stick that in the cleaner and it works just as good but doesn’t nasty up the whole tank? I just learned that and thought. “No way that can work”. Tested it a couple times and it works awesome.
Hi... I put the carburetor in hot water with dishwashing detergent and leave it for a day. Then I wash it with a high bar car wash gun and the result is a perfectly clean carburetor.
Thanks for the input!

Bump
Dawn?
I seem to think it was just a generic brand.
Can you just use some dilute hydrochloric/muriatic acid?
If you want to risk it, Dawn dish soap will NOT harm your parts!
