@dbzgt545 The first time I got zapped the hair on my arm was sticking straight out and I have a little white burn mark. I have become a lot more careful since then.
@eatmycakeshow Glad you enjoy them. I have a lot of fun making them also. Thanks for posting. If you have any suggestions for new videos please post them here and I will give them a shot.
Kevin, good point. There's also a problem with the workpiece making insufficient contact with the table giving a poor ground and/or arcing. Also if you ever weld on an assembly you want the ground as close to the work as possible. Current going through bearings and such will pit them and ruin them. Keep up the good work. Al
good tip kevin, been the victim of that years ago. kevin did you do any videos on drilling steel, like the correct way on increasing the size of drill bits as you drill up to a 25mm hole.
I would just jump about 3/4 the dia. each time till I hit my hole size. But thanks for the request, I will add it to the list and see what I can come up with.
If you are snipping off some wire and accidentally pull the trigger, are you going to get zapped? I have always been extra careful about that cause I'm not sure. Also its hot as hell in my garage. I don't have exposed skin but sweaty gloves and sweaty arm areas and it makes me nervous resting my arm on the table if its grounded to the table.
John Rambo As long as you are not touching the table or wherever the ground is attached you should be fine.. But just having sweaty arms or gloves is enough to give you a tingle or two.....
I was welding down in FLA I was welding on a 1/2" thick 10 dia 40' long steel tank which was an F-16 Engine test manifold which is what they hooked up F16 engines and fired them up ,I was on top of this tank and sweating like a Bi##h and I was climbing off to get down I grabbed ahold of the 1" handle of my 300 amp lincoln flux core welder the electrical powercord was frayed against the machine and it LIT ME UP !!! FOR 15 SECONDS I was screaming but i couldn't here my self ,my brother in law pulled the plug I dropped to the ground I was rushed to the Hospital they said I was lucky to be alive !! I Felt like I was rolled in a carpet beat with baseball bats !!
Sweaty gloves sure can be dangerous. I remember having sweat soaked gloves on when using my everlast and stick welding. I was just finishing the weld and just before I broke the arc I could feel the electricity going up my arm.
@sickdeathshappen Yes, I have made this awesome machine that sucks money out of my wallet and bank account. I just have to figure out how to get it to run in reverse!! I have made a few custom tools for one job or another. But never any stand alone machines. Thanks for asking.
@2alejandro2008 My pleasure dude. Glad to see you around.

If the earth clamp is on the metal work you are welding and you touch the same metal piece you are welding, would you get electricuted?
No, but you might feel a tingle.
@@KevincaronSculpture ok, thanks.
I'm new at welding, and why does the welding rod sticks to the metal?
@ixfxi What bee?? Give me a time mark!!
As always Thanks Kevin!
