Carlo, is there anything he can't do? He can clear brush, build furniture & shelving, lay plaster, just to name a few! You wake up in the morning and always find him doing something wonderful. And you hold your own, Nicki. You really complement each other as a couple, and it's so nice to see.

In the boot room i’d put the bench on the other wall, rather than under the coat hooks, incase coats are wet etc and more space for longer coats…
I thought the same thing. The bench will be ruined with wet coats dripping on it as well as getting wet when sitting on it to take boots off🥾👢
Yes! And perhaps some large cane baskets on the floor under the hooks to store shoes etc.
I agree once those hooks are laden with coats you won't be able to sit on the bench, unless nikki is really strict with the amount that gets put there.

Your home is looking better and better each week. I love that you aren’t worried about matching things, it gives your home a comfortable homey feeling. Carlo is a treasure for sure, and you are the perfect help mate, that’s why you are such a lovely couple.
I love how handy Carlo is. Is there anything that he can't do? The shelves in the pantry are lovely. Pruning the olive tree(s) will make them grow fuller and better. The views are beautiful. Carlo was so thoughtful to bring in the table, clean it, etc.
You should both wear safety glasses when using any electric equipment. Always protect your eyes.

Sunday is becoming my favorite day of the week thanks in no small part to your videos. This week was especially great (I can only imagine how much work it was to include so many different things in this video.) to watch as it's like having a house of one's own with others doing all the hard work! Please keep taking us on shopping tours. You've purchased some really great items. I can't believe how inexpensive the lovely furniture is. As always, Carlo continues to amaze with his DIY skills. Truly, is there nothing he can't do. What I also love is the wonderful relationship the two of you have. You honestly enjoy each other and appreciate each other and it shows and it's just lovely to see. (FYI: I loved the bit were you admitted that putting the bed together was challenging. I know first hand how difficult it can be putting furniture together in general, but even more so with another person, no matter how much you love each other! I am looking forward to seeing more of what you are doing each week. It is amazing how much you have gotten done in just three weeks. Thanks for sharing.

Love small rollers....they are so efficient and easy to manage....That colour is so incrediblyl lovely, it just makes the space so warm-looking...and very Tuscan!

Agreed!! Small rollers are often used by professional painters for that same reason
Two comments: I love the way you two seem to work together. and secondly, it seems like you've gotten an enormous amount of work done in a short period of time. Carlo is getting up early and accomplishing so many projects. You to, Nicki, of course. It seems like he's breathing new life into the house and visa-versa.
Just a tip I learned the hard way. Never store wood against the house exterior. Not only does it cause moisture build up which can ruin the wall but you're inviting termites to move in.
Nicki, the wizard doesn’t live across the valley, he lives with you! Carlo is that man who is one in a million. My dad was like that. Never had to ask twice, he just did it, and did it well. Everything is coming along so quickly. It is charming and inviting, and already looks like home! I think Indie and Holly are very happy, too. Can’t wait to see what you done next week! ❤❤❤

I love that you purchase vintage furniture. All of my furniture is vintage. It’s so easy to reclaim vintage pieces and make them look like new. They are also well made.

The pieces you've found might have been too bulky and dated in the Positano house, but in Tuscany, they compliment both the house and the grand views. It will be lovely. After 34 years…I am about to become an empty nester. I am embarrassed about how excited I am to redo my home. Watching you put together your dream/home is nothing short of beautiful. Love to see the choices that collectively become the character of your home. One of the most beautiful “scenes’ was when your friends came to visit and you were gathered around the table. I see garden fairy lights in your future. 😂. Warm summer evenings when your family and friends visit from Positano. Long doggie walks on your own land!!! LOVING this content. ❤

That bench overlooking the newly cleared view! The painted wall, fridge nook, little seats and nooks and pantry shelves--- the curtains and styling----- all so homey and beautiful. You are making some lovely memories together. It is good to rest and explore - you two are quickly making it cozy and soon the kitchen will arrive! All the best.

Just a thought about your cloakroom area. Wouldn't the settle/bench be better on another wall. Afterall, if you've come in with wet coats you won't want them dripping onto your seating area.

Hi Nicki and Carlo, i’d love watching your enthusiasm in renovating your Tuscany Home. You can hear it in your voices and the smiles on your faces your joy. You are really progressing. I agree with one of your viewers about the bench in the mudroom to be on the other wall because as she stated if you’re taking off your coat it hangs over the bench, which makes it an uncomfortable seating. Next to the bench you can have a shoe holder. Carlo can build one! The bed looks very comfortable, good choice. Nicki your father can visit frequently now since he doesn’t have to do all those steps in Positano. As always, I enjoy your videos. Looking forward to next week.😊

Wow! It’s really taking shape and starting to look like home. Carlo is right - I love second hand shops but there’s always something you don’t need but “it’s such a bargain!” Lots of work for you but it’s worth it.

Belissimo! The Tuscan house is coming along so beautifully! What incredible views & sunsets! One of the many things I love about European culture is your affinity to Upcycle. I loved seeing you perusing the thrift shops. Here in the US, many people tend to throw out old and buy new, but across the pond, you guys give beautiful old furniture and housewares a second life. I love that you are reusing stuff and not buying new . I find vintage furniture is often better made and has more character , yes it is more work but the end result is so worth it imo ! Carlo so admire your endless supply of energy I think even in your sleep you are planning the next project 😳 and Nicki , you follow very close behind so the pace is relentless and great to watch !

I have to watch twice! I love it! Trying to remain loyal to Positano but the ease of living here is such an advantage!! Love your colors and choices, love thrifting. The curtains are beautys. I like painting with something small as well, easier to hold and does not hurt your back. Enjoy every minute!
I’ve never been loyal to Positano. It’s your home and Carlo’s family is there and family is everything especially in Italy. I have bad knees and could never imagine myself there. Took a lot of screen shots of alleys and cute small shops and sunsets. Tuscany however I can pretend to see myself walking around. It feels more like home!
Cutting the new archway and fitting the new fridge in that nook was a great idea! After the over crowding of Positano, you must feel like you've moved to paradise....lovely!
How peaceful and freeing to not have to deal with the endless summer chaos, parking problems, and the stairs down in Positano. (Last year, I was staying at a villa up on Lake Como and had to navigate up and down 472 steep, very old stairs, with many twists and turn to navigate and remember, no one had warned me and I had not packed for that - at all. 😮 😂 I definitely thought of you, and I couldn't imagine having to do that regularly just to navigate life, lol.)

Carlo reminds me of my father, a jack of all trades, and a master of all of them.
Two suggestions here after watching this video twice...... (1). You need a Werner 8' ladder (2). A DR Chipper would turn the olive tree branches etc. into ground mulch/cover and if you do a lot of work on those 100? trees along with the walking trails all the nutrients go back into the ground 🤔... Love what you are doing... kinda looks like the place needed a little TLC and thats being accomplished👍👍👍👍GREAT JOB ! *IF you plant some Lemon trees and make some of that great Limoncello Liqueur I'll take a case, best stuff from Italy I've ever had.😁
