Great video very very in depth I like it looking into fully locking out the Vvt I seen a study why you lose torque sometimes and gain it back sometimes with the limiter on degreeing the phaser to 7 degrees
Uh question lol can’t find anything on what happens when you forget to put the spring tool on And the spring unwhins can you whined it back up? Or ??? Asking for a friend lol
Why blocks the cam phaser in the retard position, which removes torque and increases fuel consumption for normal driving? Retarded the cam timing gives more power at high revs but takes away some at low revs so why lock it late? ??
This part only physically locks the phaser so it cannot adjust can timing and removes the chances of any piston to valve contact due to that. If you want to degree the cam in any way you do that with a multiple key way lower timing sprocket.
not enough hemi guys throwin down like this. thx.

Thank you I am working on my 2500 ram 5.7 Got to this phaser and was so lost with the instructions. so thanks for the great video.
Very clear description of the procedure. Thank you for the video!
Great video. I'm working on my 2009 Challenger R/T
Great video man, good luck with the build!

Thanks for this video!

Great video, can you explain what this lock does for the cam? And do you reset the timing back to factory settings?
Mines a BTR and you just drop the piece in there, it fills the space and the phaser can't move
Will it be the same with a no vtt I have a 2008 charger 5.7 hemi
Now, dose this do anything in regards to the mds
What is the difference between it and phaser limiter ?
Anyone else have a gear/phaser smaller than cam snout
