Two things :

Not only Melodifestivalen, this would probably end up last in UMK too ;) After all Keira was similar but better, and she became 3rd.
What happened: the jury screwed the public over. Jann won the public vote, but the jury put him in the 4th position, giving him only 7 points (they were following the Eurovision voting scheme). The controversy stems from two events, fuelling the accusation of the jury rigging the vote:
1. 4 days before the national selection, the jury suddenly changed the voting rules. Before that it was supposed to be jury and televoting in the run-up, and then the top 3 were supposed to go into the final where the public would choose the winner in a second televote (no jury in the final). And then the jury, officially to simplify the process, cut off the final part with the three finalists. This effectively gave the jury a lot of control, as in case of a draw the jury vote was to be decisive, and they didn't lose the control over the final part without jury vote.
2. There are some serious concerns about nepotisms and behind-the-closed-doors deals. First, out of the 5 people in the jury, two were implicated - one was Blanka's choreographer (!), and the son of the jury's chair is allegedly very good friend of Blanka's (he was seen sitting next to her during the competition). Beyond that, she has a huge record label behind and she was very heavy-handed pushed by the public television in the last weeks (e.g. she had a quest appearance during a talent show last week, she was played heavily in the public radio, and in general was given way more time on screen as compared to other contestants).
Needless to say, people are pissed.

We were robbed by our broadcaster and jury so yes, it wasn't our choice, it wasn't choice by POLAND it was choice by TVP. W are devastated.

jann is real winner
You see, Henrik - this it the problem. Most of Jann supporters knew, that jury will try to discredit him. It was more than certain. BUT - I thought they will appreciate more Dominik Dudek, who haas a reaaaaaly decent, pleasant song that was performed very well or Alicja Szemplińska, whose song was maybe a little borring, but the vocals were always on point. And I guess most of the people would not be happy about results, but they would not complain that much. But no. They went for Blanka who can't sing at all. The song was popular on the radio. This is the genre called "disco polo" in Poland and either you love it, either hate it. But no matter the genre - they really chose someone that CAN'T SING and try to convince us that this brought the biggest value - in terms of vocals, song, artistry and so on.

The results of the Polish pre-selection were arranged by the broadcaster, i.e. propaganda television, which casts its pets everywhere. The viewers’ favorite was another artist, while 3 days before the election, TVP changed the rules so that their vote was decisive. One of the jurors worked on Blanka’s choreography, and the son of the chairman of the jury is friends with Blanka. There is no such thing as restlessness. In addition, TVP on its website published information about Blanka’s victory already at 15.33, although the pre-selections did not start until 17.30! We didn’t even know the official results, because everything was quickly smuggled and swept under the carpet!!!!!
Its not even about her or the song. We are done with polish goverment and TVP 🤬🤬🤬 Robbing poles all the time, worse than in Belarus

She can't sing well live! That was my first reaction. Unfortunately Jann wasn't that great too. All of them Dudek was best though before show he wasn't my favourite.
Solo is perfect radiobanger.. Gladiator is more demanding of the listener.. studio versions, there's Jann wins, but he didn't grab me live at all.. "choreography": I'll sing and throw myself around the stage and somehow it will go.. it didn't work out..
Blanka is also not the best but at least it has a catchy chorus.
Maja Hyży made a good impression on me ... good staging straight to the Eurovision stage.
And damn when will they prepare the correct sound for these preselections in this TVP. getting worse every year
