This is another one of those videos that feels odd to do because I would imagine just about everyone that watches this knows where at least two of the game's three warp zones are. That's why I also wanted to include the game's most famous glitch, even if it is entirely pointless.
Or is it? Well, it depends on which version of the game you're playing. After taking a look at the NES' -1, I wanted you all to see just what awaits us on the Famicom Disk System's edition of it. Believe me when I say that it's very, very surreal.
Oh, there's no coin counting for me this time since it's both a clip video and different version of the game after that. Yep.
*This video is meant to be a part of the Nintendo Creators Program.
“I’m glad there’s no official game that has them flying around like this”
Super Mario Maker: Hold my beer
Was more just poking fun at The Lost Levels, but that one works, too!
I love the foreshadowing in world -3. I still have to fully understand how the Minus World glitch works, but I know it has something to do with 4-2's underground warp zone and the fact that it has blank tiles where the left and right numbers are in the other warp zones.
I was Today years old when I learned about the "Minus" world. I'm 42, mastered SMB many times, but NEVER KNEW ALL THIS!!
4:55 There is a Japanese release called the lost levels with pink floating bloopers
Actually, if it's any world past World 8 (eg. World H, World Z, Minus World, etc), upon completing a castle in any background, you'll either get an invisible princess or the princess saying the wrong text (It's supposed to be "Thank you Mario! Your Quest is over. We present you with a new quest!" and not "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle"). Upon the Famicom version of 36-3, the game thinks you've beaten World 8-4 when you touch the axe since the minus world is over world 8.
3:22 The origin of Peach's floaty powers.
If it isn't Minus World, it may be World Blank.
The blank space is actually 36. So, you're technically in World 36-1.
I love this glitch!
All Night Nippon SMB removes the Minus World, since after you perform the initial wall-walking glitch, if you go down any of the three pipes, you're instead directed up to the goal area, as if you'd went through the goal pipe just before the warp zone.
But performing the same trick in Super Mario All-Stars, an additional check was added so that you will instead go straight to the intended world any of the three pipes take you to.
When I was a teenager I could go through the whole thing in about 5 minutes
Now I find myself wondering if the Second Quest has any changes to the Minus Worlds.
World of glitches! :D
In the famicom version, what happens with the other 2 pioes when the glitch is performed?
The NES and Famicom are the same thing, so it's just as I showed in the early part of this video prior to booting up the Famicom Disk System. There you go!
Wow thx:D it worked and weird glitches ar cool xd
No problem! Glad to help.
I think it's easier to just play the whole thing and get used to it gradually rather than warping to the end lol
wow that glitch was good! But is there a glitch in Lost levels?
"whats next, a mushroom that hurts Mario ha-ha yeah" yet there is..
I always do those teases. Even played the one that debuted them in Lost Levels on here!
congratulations sadly there is no prize but you are the 4th youtuber to reply on one of my comments heres a cookie 🍪 :D
this was the true
first ever backrooms
World 36-1 or [space]-1 or for short -1
If you beat a world above 8 you beat the game
Btw if you go the 4-2 warpzone and go to the pipe before welcome to warp zone appears you will be sent to the back of 4-2 warpzone
NES Minus world is Super mario bros: Wind Waker
4:52 this aged like milk
That was the point. I take subtle shots or hint at future games during these playthroughs quite a bit!
I play using the emulator it does not crouch jump there
4:53 What about Lost Levels?
That's the joke, especially now since I played The Lost Levels on here earlier this year. Ha-ha.
Is the second quest minus world any different
No.
3:38 haha
Oh my gosh it's so hard to do like I did the first time and then I can't do it anymore like I try it and I'm like why won't the guy move and why is the timer so fast
Minus world is kinda dark cus Mario has to oof himself to escape ;-;
Top 69 saddest anime moments
This best glitch i ever seen
Atarideki mario da bu dünya var mı?
Minus world=world 36
Awesome
I want to go to level 9 !
Why does my game crash in level 9
world 9 is broken and crashes because it reads level data from memory that changes (and if a certain object is spawned the game crashes)
Pipes*
The level is the same as 2-2 7-2
Also 1-3 and 5-3
how do you crouch
You hold down on the D-Pad.
What about the warp zone over the flagpole
That one is from The Lost Levels, and it was covered in that playthrough!
Minus world is the world 36
Have anyone heard of world ■-1 or 9-1
I saw it from another video
If it isn't Minus World, it may be World Blank.
