I've always wanted to study Zimmer in this level of detail but it was too daunting a task, and now you've made it possible. This was a masterclass, just brilliant. Subscribed.

Your Dune remakes are great and I love how you are explaining the details on how you recreated the themes.

Damn! This is great. I remade this track as well! it's on my channel. but only a small portion of it. so I know how much of a headache this must've been!

Great video. I have no idea what you're talking about because i'm very new to music but it looks very clever lol. When you used the 3 octaves toward the end to give it more oomph (i think this is the technical term) than the original, it made me wonder if you could do an extended cut of the piece starting with something closer to Hans' and then add your extras to build the song over a long time period? Would this work ?

Hi Aaron! Good to have you and welcome. Thanks for the message. Glad it was helpful and enjoyable. Yeah, octaves will give and enrich your orchestrations immensely. I said "oomph" but it's actually not a technical term haha but you get the idea. And I'm glad you asked. I recently finished making a Hans Zimmer-inspired track based on Dune as an "unofficial" trailer for Part II coming next year. It will be an original track using Hans' themes and applying a lot of these techniques. I will be doing a breakdown of it too so stay tuned. :)

What's the library for the bass? Thank you. Hope you can show some love and answer.

That would be the CSS Double Bass section with a very heavy EQ boost in the fundamental (around 90 to 80 hz) and some compression trying to tame the lower frequencies.

Also, bass doubled with celli which sounds an octave above. Also CSS.

Hey man, what a great remake. I am making my own cover of this track in synthwave/darksynth style and I was wondering, if you know, can I just upload it to youtube, spotify etc and monetize it? Do I have to do something for copyrights? No samples used from the original, just the melodies.

Wow... Hard to explain but sounds more polished than even the real deal. I just wonder what if you had the chance to make this with real instruments 🤣... You'll blow it out the water

Haha thank you so much. It means a lot. To my ears, it actually sounds too harsh in comparison. The original feels super bright but smooth... The real instruments would be cool to see... Maybe I'm working on something related with real humans involved 😏
