And that's without DLSS, since that 1 year old build doesnt have that option. Very promising performance level, given the graphics. Also, I can say right away that weapons feel quite spot on, you DO get a feeling of playing a superhuman Space Marine with bolter weapons. That build going to make me to preorder once I finally find out how the cosmetics of ultra edition look like and if I want them.
My most anticipated game of the year fingers cross it delivers for me it will be a real shame if the optimization isn't Steller giving there was no beta and in there words it was the best for the game
Not trying to spoil things here. But I did try the leaked build recently, which the devs say is a 1-year-old build, and it looks good, looks just like what they showed in the trailer.
@@ReforgeGaming I was playing it on a GTX 1070 with a Medium setting and it was stable at 30 fps, the baseline for the visual was pretty good. I don't see any option for DLSS or FSR tho. Others tried it on a 4090 said it ran smooth.

I played it, fps was terrible when there were lot of enemies around or animations (no DLSS or FG though). Gameplay was quite similar to first game, it didn't feel like a new experience to me, more like an expansion.
From the leaks, looks fantastic, plays fantastic, and seems to live up to the hype. It is a 1year old build that was running fine except for crashing on occasion, usually just on death. Keep seeing people happy with what they tried and saying they will wait for the final build instead because of how nice it was and wanting to experience the full experience in its released final form. Have seen leak videos and it does indeed look great from what I have seen. Looking like it may actually live up to the hype.
@@ReforgeGaming Could be recording issues for all we know. The couple I seen played buttery smooth. Some peoples standards are hyper sensitive to fps and others more lax. Who knows.
Played the leaked version. The thing runs on solid 60fps and everything maxed out on my 3080. It is unironically as good as it looks in the promo material.
Just in case not EVERYONE here saw it: “One” of the guys who posted LEAKED gameplay of the game a few days ago displayed his setting for a split second and had an NVIDIA RTX 3060 series and it was running very smoothly at 60fps. Granted the capture software he used didn’t have amazing quality and the vid was also in 720p… but as long as you have a decently recent setup you should be OK. Wouldn’t recommend dragging the sliders to “ULTRA” lol
@@ReforgeGaming There are different causes that might have been why it looked rough, either it was the record software, FPS looking rough because it is leaked build or shit running in the background, coming 9th Sep we will see for ourselves how rough it really is because the only I trust when it comes to this sort of things are myself and not somekind of an echo chamber.

@@Fuel6233 Mate there is so much customization that is locked because i cant progress in terms of points that i would assume yes, what i saw was different types of armors types for each class which was divded in different colors "green" "purple" "yellow" just like "common" "rare" "legendary" gear in any other game, same goes for weapons and if you have relic verision of weapon you deal MORE dmg. There are different armor sets which makes your space marine look crazy, keep in mind this build is 1 year old, they have probably added a lot more.
I played WWZ on ps4 and it ran without problems, and now the same engine is running in space marine 2. They held it back for an extra year, I feel better pre-ordering this one. Huge 40k fan here.
having played through the 1st SM game, both story and online, heres some points i can make off rip lack of extermate mode from the first game at launch...considering how popular it was in the first game that kinda shocks me tbh all the pvp modes mentioned from the SM2 trailer are the base modes in the first game, however it also seem like we will get dred assault as well considering how we see one in in the trailer not sure tho theres also a good few PVP modes from the first game that are not in sm2 at launch, like CtF for example... class system looks like its just a upgraded version of the original...lets just hope that balance is better so we don't just spam lascannons and thunder hammers lol story wise (spoilers here so if you haven't played SM1 you should) titus's strange link to chaos will likely be why chaos is coming in SM2 again, last we've seen he was taken into inquisitor custody because of his supernatural resistance...this is likely why he is demoted to sergeant 1k years later...but thats an extreme time gap and what the inquisition did to titus is a mystery as well.. a point worth making is that warhammer 40k boltgun is actually a sequel to SM1 and points out that the sector fell to ruin by chaos after the fact, unsure how the new DLC in boltgun ties into SM but i know there's a bit more story in it so that's something lore fans can dig into in the meantime... and one more thing, since GW has come forward and said SM2 is canon in 40k, that ironically makes the blood ravens (relics custom blood angels successor chapter) canon since they had an appearance in the end of SM1 and therefore makes the dawn of war games officially canon too. so the ork boss named orksamongus is cannon in 40k ඞ Also means that the guard canonically fought side by side with eldar because orks and chaos were fighting them… The ending and who won is unknown tho lel
I probably wont preorder but I will most likely buy it as ling as there is an offline play option. The look and feel is right up my alley and I know I can sink a ton of time into this. Especially if there are 40k lore based scenarios and story happening.
Haven't played any of the Warhammer Series of Games but I know and heard that they are widely popular. I'll see what the potential will be for this game.
If this game is dependent on frame generation I'm going to be really upset. One of my biggest issues with modern game optimization next to using TAA to mask visual imperfections.
@@ReforgeGaming I'm not saying it's 1:1 but that's what Capcom can do with the REngine still running on the PS4. I think a proprietary purpose built engine targeting current gen and PC may be up to the task. We'll see here shortly.
Having procured a version of the game, the game play is just as good as the graphics. The FPS was great as well getting 80-90FPS with a few dips in the massive swarms on a 5800x3d and a 4070ti super.
I know you aren't supposed to pre-order but I couldn't help it, I love these horde type of games where you can just slaughter hundreds or thousands of enemies. I just hope they still stay realistic to 40k, even overtime. COD will start adding wacky skins after a month and it completely ruins the game for me. I just want this game not to be stupid and for it to be a gory 40k shooter. I would rather them stop updating the game entirely if it means it doesn't become goofy.

I hope nobody gets banned for playing the leaked version because if they bought it they mistakenly have really enjoyed it enough to buy instead of just stick with the leaked build. Myself tried it and i bought the collectors edition thats how good the game is. Games runs great besides crashes but it old build.
I feel that often when a developer puts on an event and only allows for b roll is mostly because of avoiding spoilers or unintentionally ruining surprises, not because the game doesn't look good. Otherwise why run the event? The reviewers are still going to say the game is shit
I think we are all just used to false promises so any game that looks this good and plays this well is gonna throw doubts in our minds. Only time will tell.
This game looks awesome…. key word “looks”. The red flags are there, the warning signs are in place. Do your homework and research first. It always pays off.
If you like World War Z's gameplay, you will like SM2's gameplay, for me, I did not particularly enjoy WWZ, so I think the gameplay is a bit shallow for my taste, but much better than WWZ
Thet are really over advertising and then those ads are covering things that arent necessary. I dont need to hear about what is under the hood. I dont need BTS documentary ads. If it's that good, you dont have to overhype. It just comes off weird.
I won't be surprised when its launch is riddled by bugs and server crashes and capacity issues. It happened in Helldivers. Basically now they are releasing the "beta" version at launch, then it's only after few months many (but not all) of the bugs will be patched.

This game is the reason why i got an Xbox Series X. I got a good PC butt my GPU is a 2080ti never ever will i be able to run this game on 4k on my pc with that. And NO i can not go lower than 4k because i play on an 55'' oled TV because i have a small apartment and only room for 1 screen

So focus entertainment is basically stating that year old build is basically identical to the final version (with just some minor tweaks and improvements). Wow, one whole year to optimize the game and fix bugs without any modification in content. And still, i dont think they are done yet.
The sound design isn’t very good. Sound is the second arm to animation and it hasn’t followed the first game, there’s no sense of weight or impact and the Bolt Gun feels quiet and hollow to me.
Based on leak gameplay footage I've seen, my hopes are high for this game. Especially considering this build is apparently a year old. As a major 40k fan, maybe the hopium is just a bit strong in my case, but this is a piece of media that would allow so many people not familiar with 40k to get into it without the commitment of getting into the tabletop. I'm gonna try to give them the benefit of the doubt. It hasn't been an awful year for gaming, so hopefully Focus/Sabre can be a part of that positive aspect.
I wish, that Warhammer Space Marines II and Helldivers II can come together and make a funny, satirical bug slaying game with 100+ bugs on screen and cinematic look (without the extra finishing moves). Also, realism. I feel that finishing moves and stop gap animation kinda ruins the realism aspect.
Dev Build from 20/06/24 has crazy memory leak issues after about 1-2 hours of play, restart does fix but anoying none the less. Have yet to try MP but campaign 100% not worth even 30 bucks

I've played the same "preview" build and I disagree, the shooting feels anemic and the melee is not suited for horde combat.
Leak has no performance problem, played for 2 hours.

it runs at around 30-40 on my 4080 at 4k ultra, pretty good imo, no upscaling, i just played through part of the first mission
From rhe leak it seems that that graphics dont impect as much. There are alot of tricks to make a game look pretty without hurting graphics

The game runs perfectly in my AMD 7900 XTX - 4k 60 - at all times. Stayed last night playing til 3am and it is just like it looks!!! ^_^

Based on leak gameplay footage I've seen, my hopes are high for this game. Especially considering this build is apparently a year old.
As a major 40k fan, maybe the hopium is just a bit strong in my case, but this is a piece of media that would allow so many people not familiar with 40k to get into it without the commitment of getting into the tabletop. I'm gonna try to give them the benefit of the doubt. It hasn't been an awful year for gaming, so hopefully Focus/Sabre can be a part of that positive aspect.

I wish, that Warhammer Space Marines II and Helldivers II can come together and make a funny, satirical bug slaying game with 100+ bugs on screen and cinematic look (without the extra finishing moves).
Also, realism. I feel that finishing moves and stop gap animation kinda ruins the realism aspect.

calling it now, this game is going to suck.
Dev Build from 20/06/24 has crazy memory leak issues after about 1-2 hours of play, restart does fix but anoying none the less. Have yet to try MP but campaign 100% not worth even 30 bucks

Canceled beta, 6 hours of gameplay. I went from excited to annoyed. Yes, the 1st one had around 6 hours of gameplay. We're in 2024 charging $70-100.
If the review embargo doesn’t lift before launch I won’t be preordering. Another red flag if they pull that shit.
