Since your last video I have purged even more items. I got rid of a car trunk full of goodies and then in a couple of more days, I purged even more items which resulted into two more huge grocery bags full of items from clothes to decor. Your videos are so inspiring to me especially when your storage unit is as clean as the rest of your home. Now that's impressive!
It was nice to get a glimpse of your storage room--it made me feel that the amount of things I have stored under my bed and on a shelf was perfectly reasonable. I can still pursue minimalism, even if I have some items in storage for other seasons in life.
Down here in Australia, I was feeling hot, stressed, and overwhelmed by a house full of visitors. (Not really complaining, feeling blessed to live in an area where there are no fires at the moment!) This video was the calming, seven minutes to myself that I needed. Bless you! 💕

We did a radical move 3 years ago.. From Ohio to Florida. We left most our stuff. Didn’t miss most of it. But I tend to hoard things. So your videos are helpful.
My son and I are going to be purging and cleaning out his storage shed this weekend! We couldn’t get the Christmas decorations back in it!!!! Tfs that it can be done and it is not painful. We will have a garage sale in the spring and donate all the rest.
This was an error opener to see your storage space - a whole room - we have cupboards dotted about our house so I expect we have a similar amount of space and things but seeing it all together made me think about how much we still store!! X
Ooh, I love the wooly striped jumper you gotten rid of. I know the feeling of being able to breath again after letting some more go. I had to smile when mentioned holding on to the bath room thing. I just got rid of one that was sitting in my cellar for 5 years😆. Very nice photography in this video by the way.
That jumper was actually Wille’s. It was hanging in my closet so he had something warm to wear if he needed when he comes over. It turns out he never did and was wearing other things instead so it could go.

I have been doing the same thing, so many little white dishes, don't know why I keep them as I go out to meet friends and never entertain at home anymore. I love scandinavian style. It is so bright and simply. Here in Italy the people fill their home with so many stuff, call them "dust catchers"😄, and many dark wood mobile. They don't like declutter. When I came here, my husband/ hi is Italian, I am Bulgarian/ was terrified when I became decluttering. Just with dark wood mobiles I can't fight, no way to change it 🤔. But after 12 years I'm still optimistic 😄😄😄

@@BenitaLarsson I gravitated to dressmaking, its something very practical. All the dresses I'm wearing to work I made. All the beads and yarns is discarded🙂 And when I dont feel like making something big, I'll make a teatowel from vintage linen (unpaper towels are very trendy now😉)
I remember you said that you started downsizing way before you moved out of your house and you are still paring down what you really need, use and want. Downsizing is such a process and it just goes in stages.
It is a process and every time I pare down I keep wanting to get rid of more as I realize I don’t ever use a lot of it. Still more to go! Just need to check some stuff with Wille and since he doesn’t live at home anymore that’s a process too, to take photos and ask wether he wants it or wants me to keep it or not.

Slowly she has been taking things or deciding she no longer wants them or she will occasionally take an item from her grandmother, something that I have kept for her from her grandmothers home.

Thank you! I’m not sentimental at all and don’t look back, just forward I guess. I don’t need an item to remind me of someone, if they’re worth remembering I will.

Great decluttering strategy! The cabinet is one from Ikea but the doors are by Superfront and there’s a marble top. I don’t have room for it right now but I really like it so if I rearranged I might want it or Wille might want it if he gets a bigger place.
I’ve enjoyed these belongings for years (in your blog before TH-cam too) and I am feeling traumatised watching you get rid of them. Some of the green textiles and the yellow dried flowers in particular. I’ve had it for at least a decade and can’t rememberer from where. Somewhere online, possibly Etsy. It’s cardboard and it came flat so you assembled it. Sorry to not be more of help.
