    iv been mixing different vegan recipies, and making my own because my sister is going vegan, so I made some videos for her. I want to help her, even if I'm not vegan. I love her

    I haven't eaten chocolate for years - since discovering I'm lactose intolerant and since giving up all refined sugar - due to a phase of chronic fatigue (with candida)
    This looks great! Thanks for sharing. And its a great video. Love the clock interval - very pro!

    OMG, i"ve just made the chocolate and it"s the best i ever had ! Thank you so much!
    I didn"t had cocoa butter in the house, but i used coconut oil insted .. :)

      Wonderful - I am delighted to hear it. Coconut oil works really well as a replacement, although you'll always need to eat it right out of the fridge or freezer (it tends to melt quickly, especially if it's warm). The advantage of using cacao butter is that it doesn't melt so quickly. Enjoy!

    Awesome recipe! I will definitely try this if i can find cocoa butter! And I wanted to tell you that listening is very soothing and calming. I suffer from panic attacks also I have a hard time falling asleep. But your voice helps that. It's so great! Thank you!

      Thank you for the comment Dominic and thanks for tuning in. Cacao butter is available in good health food stores although it's often less expensive online (amazon for example).
      Perhaps I should start guiding meditation again... people are often commenting on how calm my voice is ;) I know panic attacks can be a real challenge and anything that helps us relax is a benefit. If it is of help, then I did post a meditation on my website a while back here: www.trinityskitchen.com/relax-unwind-soul-massage-meditation-by-trinity/

    I like to add 1 tablespoon of ground flax or ground chia per 4 tablespoons of fat. It improves the omega3-omega6 ratio, gives it a bit more structure, and doesn't interfere with the flavor very much.

    Hello Trinity. Thank you for sharing this recipe and I am going to difinately try it out. Just waiting for my cacao butter to arrive by next week. I have a question. Will this chocolate melt if I pack and gift or sell? For how long can we keep them in room temperature? I live in India and it is really hot in the summers.

    Can I use coconut oil in place of the cacao butter?

    • @KindEarthTV
      @KindEarthTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coconut oil will give you a different effect - it is much softer at normal room temperature, so you would likely have melted chocolate ;) However it would work if you serve it immediately out of the fridge or freezer.

  • @dawnlouiseh

    I'm going to try this, my cacao butter has arrived, just a small amount for now. I'd love to make a white chocolate, do you have a recipe for that? Many thanks and I apologise for all my questions, it's just I trust you and using a lot of info from yourself I've made positive changes and eat a plant based diet now and I love to learn and know alternatives so I can make something using what I have. X

      I'm also thinking I could melt this back down and blitz with hazelnuts to make a conscious healthy nutella. I do miss that but horrible ingredients and too much sugar and I know my family would love it too. They loved some dandelion honey I made from out our front yard. X

      You can, although coconut oil melts quickly when it gets warm. So as long as you eat it right out of the fridge or freezer.

      Hi Melissa, the only other substitute I can thnk of is coconut oil. HOWEVER, it melts more quickly that cacao butter, so you'd have to eat it right out of the fridge. That's the only work around that I know. Good luck :)

  •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried to do this but i boiled it in a pan, and in the first one i made, it looked good but once i put it in the freezer, the sugar and started to seperate from the actual chocolate…. I used regular white sugar... and the second one i made, the sugar never melted properly and i waited to long so it eventually started to burn

    How did you get the coconut sugar to dissolve in the butter, I was not able to do that

    • @KindEarthTV
      @KindEarthTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya, I tend to add it when the cacao butter has only just melted - if it gets too warm the sugar sinks to the bottom. This can be quite faffy though and it does depend on the coconut sugar batch. However, I am happy to say that I recently published a new video with a solution for anyone who can't stop the coconut sugar from sinking here: th-cam.com/video/F9YQpANJpFg/w-d-xo.html
      I hope this helps.

    • @KindEarthTV
      @KindEarthTV  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +moonytiger You could certainly experiment and see how it goes. I serve chocolate to lots of people who don't like 'regular' dark chocolate BUT they actually love this one. There's a good ratio to balance out the sweet and bitter. It also depends which cacao you use. All of the raw cacao products I've ever used are divine!

    what can i use instead of cocoa butter or coconut sugar??

    • @KindEarthTV
      @KindEarthTV  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The recipe really does need cacao or cocoa butter to work in the way I demo it.
      You could however, try to use coconut oil instead of cocoa butter, although you'd have to serve it right out of the fridge or freezer as it would melt really quickly at room temp. Likewise you can sub the coconut sugar for any natural sweetener like maple syrup, although it would make it really soft, unless you serve right out of the fridge freezer. If you sub them out, then it's going to be quite a different recipe, unfortunately.

    Can you add vegan milk to make it vegan milk chocolate? xx

    • @KindEarthTV
      @KindEarthTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a great question and I am surprised no one has asked that already Rachel.
      Unfortunately, no, it doesn't quite work like that with this recipe... it would be too soft. I think they might use milk powder to make milk chocolate anyway (honestly don't know for sure).
      Loads of people who said they only liked milk chocolate, who then try my vegan homemade chocolate, really LOVE it - and were totally transformed. It's different to the dark chocolate you'd buy in the shops.

    I thought you were gonna temper it. Your recipe melts if not refrigerated (unless you live in a very cold place)

      If you use the ingredients I've shared, then it melts like regular chocolate would - only if it's really warm....
      say if you had it in a hot car or very warm room, in the sun etc. I don't usually temper my chocolate - works a treat just as it is. Most people I know wanted a simple guide ;) so I thought I'd demo the easiest way for now.

    You cannot dissolve sugar in fat. This video does not show "coconut sugar dissolving in cacao butter". The sugar is merely absorbing the already-melted fat. Please try and relate accurate information.

    Feedback; You are lovely, truly sweet and nice to watch, but your video could have been one two two minutes long and had the same result. Thanks for sharing.

    The probability of there being bugs in your cocoa powder is darn near a hundred percent. You should look up how chocolate is made. Furthermore humans were designed to eat meat. It was not until relatively recently with the development global trade that you could get all your nutritional values strictly from plant life. No geographical location on Earth naturally has all of the amino acids vitamins and minerals necessary to sustain a healthy life in the native plants, unless you include meat in the equation. Furthermore getting all of the nutritional value at this point in time solely from plants is as an extremely energy intensive process burning billions of gallons of fossil fuels every year, just so you can claim that your environmentally sound and friendly or something.
