I don't have any of your cars/tractors but enjoy your videos very much. Always something of interest. I've spent a lot of money over the years on various felt tipped pens like Sharpies, Staedtler, Edding etc. A friend in the US told me I should try Milwaukee pens. They last a long time on metal, concrete !!! etc. I found the very large and fine sizes in Germany. I'm still looking for the medium size tip.

Great series on the DB990 restoration as well as your other videos I have seen, thanks for keeping the videos real with real world issues and problem solving
Love your vid and appreciate the effort you put into editing and scene setting, thanks. Also learning a lot as I’ve just purchased a earlier model 990 myself.
Nice work and thanks for showing in detail the patching. David brown's were very popular in my area as there was a dealer just up the road. From Ireland.
@@D3Sshooter Hi Steve. Yes we’re all in good health thanks. Hopefully your all well too? Looking forward to the lockdown being eased after Monday 😂 Our wedding plans are in place for July the 20th where hoping for a trip to our Casa in Spain 🇪🇸 for our honeymoon 🤔 But I can’t see that happening though 🥲 So I can see it being in the U.K. but the prices have escalated as the U.K. opens up. Over 2k for two weeks in the Devon/Cornwall. But the weather I’ll be rubbish 🙄 Looking at Antwerp for a long weekend in December 👍🏻 Fantastic videos as always Steve. I can see it now...a set of mud flaps and stainless girlie silhouettes, chrome tip on the muffler, some pointy chrome lug nut covers, drink holder, and you will be talking turbo charging soon... Hi Steve, another great video, I don’t know about Belgian mot rules but here in the U.K. the indicator/blinker light should be to the outside of the fender
@@D3Sshooter I just mentioned it because I seen it on the video and the indicator/blinker was to the inside of the fender when you held it up, I was just wondering about it because you had to drill a hole for your wiring. Keep up the great work

Your videos get more interesting from episode to episode. I can't wait to see what the tractor will look like 😍😍. Additionally, as others have mentioned, you should be a teacher. You can really pass on knowledge to others, and you can motivate 👍.
For anyone doing a full restoration - on tractors, or other machines - there are people and companies that can reproduce those metal (or even stick-on) tags EXACTLY! I'm not sure if Steve is going to go that far, but it is an option if you want it done perfectly!
@@D3Sshooter I know in the US - Kieth Rucker (of VintageMachinery.Org ) uses vonindustrial.com to reproduce machinery tags of all kinds. If you like old industrial machines and restorations (Lathes, milling machines, etc), and using them, he's got a great channel.
The "reduction 9/50" is likely to be the ratio of the reduction gears at the ends of the axle. There were different ratios for different wheel sizes and also for faster road speeds.
Hello, i have a 990 selectamatic. The lifting arms Are just going to top when the tractor starts, have you ever heard about that problem? Greetings from Norway.
Yes, that is an issue with the hydraulic control and the valves. Off course I assume that the mode is set right... Have a look on the other video's on the DB on my channel, there are several about the hydraulics system on how it works and what can be checked
In my country, where there is so much vehicle theft (amongst other thefts), it is wise to check, when buying a second hand vehicle, if all the numbers correspond, as the cops can confiscate the vehicle if they don't. The thieves sometimes swap out engines, etc to be able to sell the vehicle. I can see you are still old school - the younger guys would have used a block and tackle to take off the bonnet and fenders!!

Never heard of a vehicle inspection on a tractor. Nothing like that here in the states……… I always get a kick out of people thinking that WD40 is a penetrating oil. It is actually a water displacing lubricant. Which is what the WD stands for. Legend says that the 40 signifies that it was the 40th version of the formula. Don’t know how much truth there is to that tho….
In the EU DOT rules are very different to the USA ones. Sometimes it is better, sometimes worse. Less freedom but also less chance off having a accident because somebody was on the road with a vehicle that shouldn't have been on the road.

what you could try is a weld through primer on the undersides of your panels that way at least they have some protection.
