- Ross Nichols left the safety of his job to chase his dream of owning his own shop in honor of his grandfather. Ross is Car Crafts first builder in a series discovering the talented youth of hot rodding.

Every year the staff of Car Craft Magazine looks for undiscovered, first-time builders to join us at the Car Craft Summer Nationals. If you have a new shop or are just working out of your backyard and have a project you want to show the world, this is your chance to make it big in the pages of Car Craft magazine and the Hot Rod Network. To enter, send your stats and a photo of your build to dglad@enthusiastnetwork or carcraft@carcraft.com with Discover Me! in the subject line. The Network staff will personally sift through the pile to find the guys with mad fabrication and horsepower building skills then mold them into bronzed car gods. We also look for you at shows and big events like the HOT ROD Power Tour and street rod shows like the NSRA Street Rod Nationals (where we found Ross). Do it now, luck favors the bold. Don’t forget a picture of the car, yourself, and your phone number.
Ah this is miles better than the Wicked thing you guys uploaded before. Color correction and general photography here is flawless, storytelling is captivating, makes it compete with even Petrolicious. Kudos !!!

I am 13 and I appreciate the old American metal. Way cooler than another car ever made. I will become a hot rodder someday and bring back some more of the old American metal.

I live a few towns away from you. I just bought a 1948 Ford f1. They are beautiful. The engine choice is spectacular, but that had to be a tight fit.

I'm 18 and I love rusty cars muscle cars and all my friends are into Japanese cars. I know this is a long shot, but Fort Wayne isn't far from me so if maybe we could meet up sometime or something, idk.

Like the truck but dude, you have to lose those stickers and talk to a sign painter... it just does not jive with the truck.
it's most likely a magnet sign. why paint the shop name on it he might sell it
I kind of like old trucks with long gone shops' names faded on the side. Imagine that, but after the phone number (7 digits? whaaa) you see www.shopname.com - I think that'd be cool. Advertising, even if he sells it.
