For 19 year olds, you two are geniuses. Your design is the BEST I have seen for the Ford Transit Connect XLT. Only thing I would add is maybe a hideable portable compost toilet for emergency poops. Haha! What did you use to INSULATE the van? Instead of a built-in sink, I am thinking of just cutting a hole in a counter, and shoving a wok into it, which serves double duty as a cooking surface. I like the fact that your cooking surface is where sliding door is located - just open the door for ventilation.
You guys are absolutely amazing. I'm almost 30, but I've never thought of buying a van, converting it to a camper and travelling across the country. You guys really inspire me. Good luck and enjoy the trip!
Noah & Katie, your conversion is about as simple, clean, and functional ( also appears to be less expensive ) than the many other Van Conversions on TH-cam. Keep up the good work, and supplying helpful videos of your travels/adventures. Always, Syn Silver.
wow - AMAZING - I watch a LOT of van and car conversions - but you have really done the best job with a connect or city type van that I have ever seen - basically set it up like a large van - bed "across the back" etc - THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR BUILD !!!!!
You two are years ahead of people your own age and many others of mine (almost 50). You have built a beautiful home on wheels. Congrats to you both and may you have safe and wondrous journeys.
You both look like school kids. Fascinating use of space. You could even have two 250 watt solar panel on the top that will meet all your energy needs including an induction cook top. The only drawback is stand up headroom. But as long ad you both are happy who cares what I think!
I have been trying to figure out a way to add counter space to my Ford Transit Connect. Your detachable table is brilliant! I also learned how to remove my headliner from one of your earlier videos. Thank you so much!
Very nice! It's great to see that a Transit Connect can become a very usable camper. Add some solar panels, and serious boondocking is also possible. Kudos for a fine conversion.
Love it!! Did you ever think.of making your kitchen convertible to access from outside so you can cook, flip down the back of the sink panel for a counter to put your propane stove on, plus add a small amount of food items or spices to be able to cook outside without needing to go inside for anything 😉 How awesome and ingenious the entire build was with the space you had to work with 😊 you have everything you need. Well, except space lol!! Maybe an attachable a greenhouse or tent to the side of your van would be a great addition? Take care and wishing you many memories to come on your travels.
We did think about putting a back on the sink for counter space but every time we would need to grab something from the drawers or fridge we would have to walk around the whole van. It has worked really well for us! No complaints!
@@DontWaitGoDo Lol!! Your not understanding what I am saying. All I mean is to make the back of your sink cabinet open from the outside do you can access it from indoors or outdoors is all. Im glad your happy with your way 😊 My suggestion was only a SUGGESTION. Most ppl welcome them 😊
Noah and Katy Your video is from 2018, I have just watched your video today-Fridat, March 12, 2021. My plan is to buy a 2022 Ford Transit Connect XLT LWB Cargo Van this year. Your van build is very nice but a little too elaborate, at least for me. I am 61 years old and will be a newbie when I start vandwelling. Hopefully you Kids are still vandwelling in your van today (2021). Anyway, PLEASE be Safe and Aware in all your travels. Good Luck to you both.
This is so weird I watched y’alls other van video probably 45 mins ago and checked out a couple other videos on your channel and was reading comment on one videos where it says do like a detailed tour of the van and then one of you two replied it will be coming up in another video coming soon or something along those line and I refresh your page and boom there it is hahaha I know it’s not very interesting but to me it was weird and hilarious! Keep exploring and get lost!
Nice setup guys! Building one of my own at the moments, only the kitchen is ready as building on my days off. Hopefully should be all done for a roadtrip in summer :)
Nice video you guys! 👌 (Psst; Something tells me there's people that worked on this 'utility-van's _original_ blueprint, as well as at the assembly line in the car factory - who feel honored to see the Connect come to such good use, by two nice young people, going - "Who'da thunk????") - Can't wait to follow your adventures!❤️👍
Fantastic van build! I was wondering what kind of wood you guys used for the ceiling and if you would ever do a video breaking down the costs of your renovation? Thanks!
Thanks!! We used 1/4 in. x 2 in. x 4 ft. poplar boards for the ceiling strips with a 1/4 in. plywood panel underneath. That would be a great idea, look for one soon!
This is pretty awesome and inspiring. Would you be willing to share some of the materials you used for the walls/insulation and how you did the electrical and what the power source is. Thanks so much and happy trails
So pleased to find your channel! You guys have done a brilliant job with the van- great tour. We're currently touring UK & Europe in our van but we're heading over to the USA next year so I'm going to binge watch your videos to get tips & ideas! Keep posting- looking forward to seeing more adventures. 😀👍
Aloha Noah & Katie, I just bought a used 2012 Transit Connect and just love what you did with yours. I want mine to function exactly like yours did! Do you have blue prints I could buy? Kat
Y’all are too cute! This looks really nice yet functional! I’m thinking of buying a transit connect and now i really want one! Thanks for sharing. Happy travels!
Not a fan of white in an interior or next to a cooking stove, but I liked your setup overall and the video was straight to the point and well presented...no rambling. Thanks for a great vid!
Love how simple your build is. I just had a few questions. Does that leg fully support your weight, the one you pulled out after extending the bed. Also do you have a compost toilet, what do you do for showers. Do you live in the van fulltime.
Thanks!! The legs are only for additional support, since the slats mainly support the pullout part, but yes, it does support our weight. No toilet, and we shower at campgrounds primarily. No, we don't live in the van full time, we just go on adventures with it, sometimes a few dayss, sometimes a few months.
👍Nice job, good use of the limited space. You guys look like your only 12, do your parents know where you are? I better not see you guys on any milk cartons. 🤣 just kidding. You guys are adorable. Thanks for sharing. I’ll check out your other videos as well. Wishing you the best. 🤗💞🤗
The extension bed legs are only additional support since the slats on the bed actually provide support to the extension. It's been a year and has worked perfectly so far!
Love the Van! Just wondered, is it a shirt wheel base version? You seem to have plenty of length for the bed without extending into the cab area. Happy trials 😊

Syn Silver thank you! We appreciate your support!
Splendid! Everything is so mini/micro - yet, you have ALL that one needs! You two did so well!:)

WOW! I’m impressed. So much going on in such tight quarters. Nice build.
Wow you guys have done a great job with the space! I'm doing a big Transit, but you really made the small one work.
I have watched a ton of videos about building vans, usually sprinters, but this looks amazing! Such attention to detail! Good luck with your travels.

My friend and I are going to convert a transit connect into a camper, and will definitely take some notes on this. Thank you!!!
BEST Transit Connect Conversion I’ve seen thus far! 👍
Very nice! It's great to see that a Transit Connect can become a very usable camper. Add some solar panels, and serious boondocking is also possible. Kudos for a fine conversion.
And a banana holder. Awesome! I love the entire build, have fun!
Thank you!
Wow! This is the tiniest tiny home. So much tucked away. Great job.
Thank you!
I'm amazed by how many older transits I've seen. How has it held up? And your conversion has a lot of conveniences in a very small space - great job!
Nicely thought out and executed. Will definitely steal some ideas from you guys.
Wooow!!! Great use of space and choice of materials. Have a fantastic and blessed experience traveling in you little home. 🤗😁👍💖😎

That's some tiny living! Great build out though. Looks cozy. Some good inspiration for our own van build.
Glad we could be of inspiration!
Great job!! It's nice to see that things can be done smaller and more simply, if desired. Have fun you two!!
Nice Job with such a small space guys! Also, Im really liking that style of bed!! Hoobilly...
great job guys, glad you are living more in your young years than most their entire lives

God Bless you kids! What an awesome way to enjoy life! You are living right guys.
Thank you for the tour. Noah has wonderful smile! Be fun to travel and tour around, enjoy.
I just fell in love with you both! Thanks for the video, very beautiful van/home. Have some great adventures!
The legs to the bed extension look a little close to the dip on the wooden base, hopefully it doesn't drop. Cool build
wow, Very Different. I love The layout. Easy to set up. 👍💯
Delightful conversion and enjoyed watching your video, wishing you all the best in your journeys.
Beautiful job! Amazed those legs for bed are sturdy though maybe the wingnuts are very strong to hold it. Great overall design, Congrats
Nice setup guys! Building one of my own at the moments, only the kitchen is ready as building on my days off. Hopefully should be all done for a roadtrip in summer :)
Well done guys, so much in such a small space, excellent work!
Ingenious. Simple elegant solutions. Love it.
Well done. I’m looking forward to seeing upcoming videos from across the country. Get out and enjoy life. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Lovely couple lovely little van you could also sleep a third person under the pull-out bit amazing

Such a cute couple!! Wish you happy all the time!
Well thought out! Very clever use of space.
That's a great little van! Cudos to you guys!
Nice job! Did you insulate the van first? Have you any form of heating in there?
Nice build out! Good video!
WELL, YOU MADE GOOD USE OF THE SPACE YOU HAD. GOOD JOB.
Aloha Noah & Katie,
I just bought a used 2012 Transit Connect and just love what you did with yours. I want mine to function exactly like yours did! Do you have blue prints I could buy? Kat
I love the decor White with that wood👍
Amazing work!

What a fabulous job you can really be proud of! Wishing you happy & safe adventures!! 👍🌈
im a bit worried about the legs support for the bed. but interesting idea for that tiny van still can accommodate 2 people.
Great job! But those legs for the bed extension look kind of flimsy. Did they hold out okay in the long term.
Love how simple your build is. I just had a few questions. Does that leg fully support your weight, the one you pulled out after extending the bed. Also do you have a compost toilet, what do you do for showers. Do you live in the van fulltime.

That extension on that bed is not going to last lol but you guys did a great job. Too small for me but hope your having fun.

That is awesome guys! well done.
Love your layout. Do you happen to have the dimensions?
Great job . You both are so lovely enjoy your travels
This is really cool! Very inspiring!
Super nice build! Did you already share the make/model/brand of the green cap stove stored under the bed?
Nicely done.
Great use of space, well done!
I think I like the idea of a low-height van roof and designing the van to be livable while seated. makes a weird kind of sense.
Love the Van! Just wondered, is it a shirt wheel base version? You seem to have plenty of length for the bed without extending into the cab area. Happy trials 😊
love it guys, great job.
This was so cute for some reason
This is so beautiful I love it
Hi guys, hope you’re well. Are you still on the road or have you packed it in to move forward with the every day rat race?
