hey payne. what's the name of the tool that you use to crank the rebar? its being used at 14:25. Also, when setting your line to lay blocks, how do you know the block on one end is level with the block on the other end (the corner blocks that the lines are set on). I know you can check by using a laser level but i'm not sure how you yourself did it. thanks
Good Day thanks for this great question Lobsta112. So we called the tool "steel bender" or "hickey" but i just call it bendy thingy, for the leveling of the blocks, the block don't have to be perfectly leveled so what i did was to level each individual block going across in the first row while i lay them, then i judge the thickness of the mortar on each ends before I draw the line from end to end, its not going to be level all the time so each time I place down a block I leveled it weather or not its going with the line and the try again in the next row to go with the line. the line for me is to make sure the block stays in a straight line and stay in the square of the building
@@paynefuldiy nice, the line helps to run the block a lot faster for sure, even if you're just using it to keep the wall straight... that first row of blocks that goes on top of the foundation footings is no joke though, especially if your footing wasnt perfectly level, painful stuff. your contribution to the diy community is invaluable.

Good day and welcome to the channel.. the blocks in Jamaica comes with a small lip so after placing the block down the 2 lips facing each other makes a small pocket to pack the mortar into its call filling the joints .. The blocks or not as flat as a brick it

Q. You full out the pockets with the electrical pipes, if yes/no how you get to connect them back to outlets ?
i stuff papers down in it and then fill above it, if you mark the area you can cut it back out

in my last block laying video i didnt use the line because is the same issue where one side was about a inch low so i had to dash way the line
