- Hi everyone and welcome back! Today we’re painting another black and white landscape. This is a step by step, relaxing tutorial for all levels. Using one brush, 2 colours and an 11x14 black primed canvas. You’ll learn how to paint a night scene with a full moon, trees, waterfalls plus so much more!!!
You will need:
Black paint
White paint
1 filbert brush #16
An 11x14” black primed canvas

I've recently returned to painting after loosing my eyesight in one eye and I had given up and lost all my confidence , but since watching your videos I am happy to say that I've dived back into painting once again and have actually sold some! i absolutely love doing the black and white ones especially ! Recently, I've become interested in black and white acrylic paintings. I really like painting on black canvases. You recently did one in black and white and then "washed" over it with some phthalo green and blue. I love that idea. I am going to be checking out a few of your black and white tutorials now!

I’ve decided this will be my next one. Started by seeing you use color filters over it, then found this original B&W. I am curious to see how I do using only a filbert…not my go to brush….so a challenge on several levels!! Thank you for all of the variety of opportunities that you give us!!

Thank you, it takes LOTS of practice.. it took me a while before I could get it. We have to retrain our minds to see perspective a little differently in order to paint it. If that makes sense? Lol xo
