    Normal service from TUI this. Best thing I ever did was switch my flights to Virgin. Also, Melbourne Airport looks shocking, how can they open that for international flights!?

      100% yes. FLY ORLANDO ALWAYS.

    Terry, there was a hurricane. Did you expect to fly through a hurricane? There will inevitably be a knock on effect with all future flights while the airline catches up on delays.

    • @TerryTrackerChannel
      @TerryTrackerChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, but I expect to have some correspondence, and not told to “just goto the airport” during the hurricane, even when I knew the airports were shut, and also not be told a time for a flight for it then to be delayed a further 6 hours with no notice or anything.

      Bear in mind we were there for Mathew and irma before Ian, both with Thomas cook, and we were kept informed the whole time. With Tui, it was me doing the ringing up to be given wrong information

      First time with Tui, never had issues with TC Virgin or monarch back in the day (except the lack of IFE on monarch) but the Tui flights were late and very very dirty on board. Could I ask that you please give me a subscribe. We’ve got lots of flights booked this year including Thailand and Texas. Thanks, and happy new year

    Was this off the back of the Hurricane? Sorry your Melbourne experience wasn’t a positive one! We had a great experience flying to/from there in October 22 from Glasgow. Through customs quickly, very stress free and although the facilities are limited you can see that there are improvement works going on.
    I can appreciate how it might have been a different experience having been sat there with a huge delay though!

    • @TerryTrackerChannel

      it was the lack of information really, and how dirty the aircraft was

    After viewing that, we were very lucky, our flight from Manchester 23/10 was only 2.75 hours late, due to the Swissport ground crew who couldn't load an oversized wheelchair, there were 10 men involved, then the Spanish crew couldn't get the chair off for almost 2 hours, well done Tui, try telling the children that they can't go to pool yet.

      @@TerryTrackerChannel May I ask how did they accommodate you for the two hurricane days?

    • @TerryTrackerChannel
      @TerryTrackerChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Long story, firstly we had no communication from Tui regards flights accommodation or anything, so I had to ring Tui to find out, the agent I spoke to told me to go find a Tui rep in a hotel 5 miles away… during a hurricane, I told them No chance! Got put through to someone else who Said goto the reception and tell them to extend the key card for the room, so I did, but the hotel said they had no correspondence from Tui so we would have to pay, so we did… then I rang Tui again and said what we had to do, the agent then told me just to goto the airport which is an hour and half away “just Incase the flights were on” again I demanded to speak to somebody else as there was a hurricane going on outside!! They then said they would either refund us or pay the hotel which would refund us, they did eventually, but not without me having to do all of the legwork for them during a very stressful night

    I was there for the hurricane, and had to stay 2 extra days, i payed for prem seating outbound and return back to Bristol, my return i didn't have the seat i payed for and was placed right at the back of the plane squished in the smallest seat i have ever experienced. It was my first ever time to the USA and i can assure u i will never travel with TUI there again. Hardly any communication from TUI during the hurricane and the rep at the hotel was as useful as a chocolate teapot. Still trying to sort a refund for the prem seating i didn't get, which is like getting blood out of a stone. TUI seem only ok if your using them to travel in europe, but even now i am abit hesitant to even use them for that.

      @@TerryTrackerChannel Flights every day from Manchester, nearly always on time. Nice planes, great entertainment and they fly into MCO. No messing about going to an airport that isn’t fit for purpose for international flights and then having to travel nearly 2 hours! It’s a no-brainer. I think TUI have made a huge mistake committing to Melbourne but I suppose time will tell.
