Newcastle airport looks really calm. I love Caroline’s sunglasses. Thank goodness the wheel chair made it through ok. How lovely to be back with friends!!! Xx
So glad to see Caroline back in the videos. I love how genuine and cool she is. 😊 Also Love the hair and the jean jacket. I hope you all have a safe and awesome trip. Thank you from Rancho Mirage Ca.
We've just finished watching your travel day! It's so nice to see airport's flying from closer up north! Hopefully going from Newcastle next year so trying to pick up all the tips haha
Really enjoyed this, we love a travel day. Newcastle airport looks a damn site better than Manchester. Not flown Tui before but looked decent, soon as you said Melbourne I went “huh” and Emily looked at me like I was stupid 😂
I will be flying back to Spain for a second visit and third overall to Europe in just 4 weeks time on July 20. I won't be using Tap & Brew fortunately as we are leaving the DoubleTree by Hilton and going straight to the terminal and to the waiting room. It will be my first through the new look airport. It's not a good example when nothing you eat tastes nice or is as ordered. But I am excited to try out the new security area so see if it is possible to keep small electricals like charging cables and mobile wifi devices in a small bag and if it is possible to bring along sunscreen. Was it as easy as the airport makes out? About the flight I cannot think of a more cooler thing than having a TV in the back of the seat of the dude in front! That is a seriously incredible invention! My mouth has just hit the floor! I have seen it all now! All the planes I have been on to Jersey, Spain and Italy have never had that! It's worth blowing every penny you have ever earned on just having the experience of watching some tripe you don't even like on a TV in the back of a seat! LOL
Drinks are fine at the bar but I'd avoid food if you change your mind. The food at Asther and Thyme is a bit better. In terms of the new security, it's changed again since we went and back to 100ml in clear bags but you can still leave everything in your bag including electricals. We've done it twice now with everything left in and I got pulled both times. Was never pulled before, go figure. Hope you have a great time in Spain
New to your channel and not sure if you have covered this before, how do you manage the restroom situation on a plane? I am so sorry you were unable to eat during the flight. I wish the would keep at least one veg meal as a "just in case", so many people are now vegetarian it only seems to make sense. Great travel video TFS
Thank you for watching and your comment. Restroom wise we always try to get seats close to one and I help Caroline when she needs to go. She can walk a little but the longer the flight and inability to raise her legs the harder that gets. In terms of this flight, the nearest toilet was at the back of premium so we had prior agreement from the welfare team that she could use it and we had a chat with the cabin crew too. Doing that does create anxiety though because other ppl around look and point and start using it so we try to just brush it off. If for some reason the toilet is further away, Caroline may need to use an aisle chair. Hope that answers your question. There are things she does pre boarding to if you want any further information please don't hesitate to ask.
We took the no tolls option on Google maps along the 192 on the way up and the tolls option on the way back down which was faster. Hope you have a great trip!
We have but it seems it's just more and more common these days for every airline and airport. Accessibility seems to be getting worse rather than better unfortunately 😕

It'd a really good airport. Just wish flights were cheaper from there as it's one of the more expensive to fly from. Caz says thank you 😊

Which route did you take from the airport? Travelling from Newcastle on 27th July. Car hire from Alamo.
