    TRUE GARDENER here Jennifer! I watch your old videos over and over until you upload a new one! 😆 My family moved back to Central FL from Rhode Island nearly a year ago. I became an expert gardener while in New England for the past 7yrs but upon my return to life in the tropics in a new growing zone I became a newbie all over again in my new construction home. Your videos have been a tremendous blessing as I navigate my new landscape!!! THANK YOU for every tour and nugget of knowledge you share! Your expertise and style are inspiring and full of beauty! Love what you’re doing! And thank you Bryce for your excellent camera work! You’re the real MVP 🥇🌴🌺

    I can’t wait to get a copy of your book. I’ve learned so much from your videos. I’m also a landscape designer and arborist, but in zone 7. We are in the planning stages of retirement and I’m at a loss with tropicals. My training teaches me soil, soil, soil😅
    I realize I will be dealing with sand so I’m assuming that’s the reason for the amount of fertilizer used. lol
    Look forward to your next video!

    Wow I haven't seen a pygmy that big! I LOVE bottle palms! I am for sure doing those behind our spool. Thanks again for calling and chatting (I'm the one in Fort Lauderdale) ! Still in, plant celebrity shock lol! Cant wait to see your spool! haha! #spoolclub You know after we talked I thought about maybe a video about pesticides and what plants do well without attracting too many bugs.... especially spider mites and that dont need to many heavy pesticides. I have so many snakes, native tree frogs, owls that nest and loads of others so id love to add plants that dont need too much pesticide. Can’t wait for the book!

    I am preparing to move from Indiana. Your site has been invaluable to my research. I have watched them over and over. I don't think I will be as far South as you. Wondering if you could make a video of palm and plant recommendations for 9a &9b ?? It would help a lot that aren't as far south as you. You should see the folder of notes from your videos! Thanks for helping us!

Another favorite - King Alexander - love the shape of the fronds. Please let us know when your book is ready. And thanks again to you and Bryce for all your hard work. New subscriber, awesome love your Videos keep them coming! You learn so much with ideas, I'm tuning in from the Island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Can you do a video explaining in depth what trees and plants are great against house structures around the house property. That will not affect the foundation of houses or wallways due to there root structures etc like do's and don'ts. That would be awesome!🙏

      Welcome to the channel, and thank you so much for the support! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos and tuning in from beautiful Puerto Rico! That’s a fantastic idea for a video-I’d love to dive into which plants and trees work best near homes without causing issues to foundations or walls. Stay tuned, and thanks again for the awesome suggestion!

    True Gardener!
    I’ve been heavily debating between a spindle and bottle palm for the end of one of my garden beds. I love the height of bottle palms, but I’m not quite a fan of the shape once it hit maturity. This video was right on time! :)
    Thank you for great content and I hope I wasn’t too much of a fan girl at Palm City Palms lol

    • @TrueGardener
      @TrueGardener  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh are you kidding it was so cool to meet you. So if I may weigh in on the spindle and bottle palm debate, I love spindle Palms in a shadier environments. In full sun, they tend to look too orange for me however, the triple spindle palm I have in my backyard that’s protected is absolutely a favorite of mine. They’re just stunning and I really think they look lovely as they get big too. The broad canopy of a bottle palm is pretty magical if you have the room for it, and as for the base, I’m sure you could find several fun understory plants to skirt it. Good luck Gardner. It was my pleasure meeting you.

      Hey there if it’s the silver palm you are meaning it’s a palm native to Cuba. Without spell check I’m sure to butcher the name but it’s called coppernecia Falensis.

      I love majesty palms for a small area with some sun protection. I think people think because they grow so slowly they are not significant palms. I just used them on a project last week and love them for small areas.

      @TrueGardener they are beautiful palms. Especially in their early to mid-size stages. They look like bottle-coconut palm hybrids. Beautiful. Wish they were more common. Are they really that sensitive to sun???
