To witness the destruction, patches invited master Wilhelm, Sekiro to try out the device but Sekiro died of shock and wilheim t posed, ascending into the skies and meeting goldmask After the battle of aeonia, castellan of redmane castle jerren swore revenge against Malenia for driving his master Radahn insane. The heavily injured Jerren who was about to pass out watched as finlay carried Malenia out of caelid, cursing them but was helpless given finlay was ranni extremely fast. However He had a plan to destroy malenias image. He paid his former enemy Seluvis. The plan was to have Seluvis, a master of lore inaccurate fanartd draw highly lore.. inaccurate fanart of malenia and finlay which would make Malenia seem like a massive piece of shit that is only good for reproduction. Also the fanart would depict vleanrot knights looking human which is something miquella has denied since the formation of the haligtree. To depict finlay a cleanort knight looking human would just give the message that miquella is a liar and his age is a scam. Finlay to do the roast battle proceeded to borrow mohgs ass cheeks which mog regenerated and rannis hair which she used to make a machine gun with some of malenias skin(numen skin can graft stuff). The roast battle involved bernhal, vagram, Gideon, Alexander alongside ansbach varre, lannseax. Finlay won it after 13 hours. Patches reveals the entire roast tournament is a scam and he won't be rewarding the winner. Bernhal who had used the zip glitch and ended up in the haligtree questioned why gwyndolin is here if Aldrich ate him in DS3. Patches explains that time is convoluted in the lands between. MichAl zaki shows up and beats patches to death. Patches is not surprised given the entire situation was caused by his timeline alterations. Patches lets Michael kills him. Michael undoes the events of this entire parody and patches awakes in murkwater cave in the present like nothing happened. many years ago, finlay took Malenia to the haligtree. Patches time travelled and showed up and claimed that malenia made lore.innacurate fanart of malenia and finlay. This angered finlay who decided to betray malenia. This time instead of killing Malena, malenia awoke as finlay stabbed jer she did not receive the large dosage Trina lilies who caused her to be unconscious for 24h in the erased events. Malenia killed finlay, Finlay's dying words saying that malenia will pay for that terrible faner and asked morgott to do something about it because she thought she paid morgott to protect her(she didn't she halluctanted it because she drank some of the godrick brand orange juice on the way to the haligtree). Malenia asked morgott to explain this and morgott asked hewg to do some spirit tuning on finlayz Turing finlay into a spirit summon. God I love Thioller’s character development. The dude was basically a loser simp that tried to kill you and at the end he is one of the people who chooses to side with you against a God.
It’s even implied that he finally managed to hear Trina’s words. Thus getting confirmation that you are, in fact, an ally to his lady; that your words were true and not some cruel farce. He even apologizes for what he did to you. He and Ansbach are my favorites.
I like how Thiollier's line "Not the mightiest blade, nor the finest armor" starts off making you think that he's talking about his own weakness, only to then flip that into gassing up his poison build.
I think this fight succeeded where Gideon Ofnir kinda failed : the monologues not only greatly enhance the battle, but also play while the characters actively fight. It also cannot really get interrupted since you're bound to back off once other characters join the fray. (i still think Gideon's a good boss if you don't cheese him tho)
Don't cheese him? Bro, I honestly waited for him to finish his speech. I didn't buff myself. DLC was not released at that time. I used no summons on him. I was a Dex/Int build with small Arcane investment (Lvl 150). I only used Frost Nagakiba+Blood Uchi in a Power Stance. And my Ashes were Double Slash and Impairing Thrust. No spells, since he was spamming his. And yet I STEAMROLLED HIS ARSE. Like, 1 jump attack followed by Double Slash, and when he gone for his Flask - Impaling Thrust and the backstab. That's literally how he gone down. It was long ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. It was like I visited Godrick, but with "current" level and skills. (Current at that time, I am lvl 200 now with more Arcane and I learned fast-switching on top of jumping attacks and crouch pokes I already learned by the time I reached Gideon)
Dude you are objectively wrong if you think Gideon is a good boss. NPC's with infinite stamina and FP, do way more damage than they reasonably should, even for a boss is not a good boss. NPC bosses are just player characters that have the same moves you do if using the weapons they have. They rob us from fighting a real boss.
Tholliers entrance really captures my reaction to the line the first time. I thought it was him being self deprecating as usual, talking down himself. Then no, it's actually him telling you that you're a dead man walking because tonight the poison swamp comes to you
Yes, Midra was terrifying and a big surprise, yes, Messmer was ten times more complex and epic than I'd envisoned, yes, Balye and Igon were the most iconic, and yes, the ass-beating Radahn gave me was the one that delivered me the true "Souls dlc vibes" BUT For me, this moment was the high point in the dlc. I don't consider too many questlines that memorable in these games, apart from few beautiful exceptions, like Siegward of Catarina or Ranni, but this was truly one of them. So many separate storylines coming together to a final climax, which is the true tragedy of this dlc: valiant knights, who were once united in common cause, kill each other because their opinions and beleifs differ... poetry.
His line of him trying to free Mohg from Miquellla was the hardest line in the DLC. Literally flipped who was the victim and who was the weirdo in the "relationship"

This dlc had some of the best moments in all of the souls games imo. The entire climb up the mountain and fight against Bayle with Igon at your side screaming at him and the fight against Leda and her allies with Ansbach and Thiollier at your side, with everyone talking to eachother as an epic battle rages on, it’s just *chef’s kiss*

Today is my first time actually having this boss fight in the game, and exactly with Ansbach and Thiollier on my side. After I beat them in third try, I searched a bit at boss room and could not found Leda. Then I walk out, and found her dead and sit there... suddenly give me a feeling of "damn why the heck we end like this...".
This boss fight is narratively perfect. The music and dialogues during the battle made me feel bad and almost cry. in the end i was convinced that miquella must be stopped I love this game...

When I fought Leda I had also skipped previously hunting down Hornsent, but had already cleared to the church of the bud, so I never actually fought Hornsent, and he joined me to fight against Leda and their crew along w/ Thiollier. Along with my mimic it was a true 4v4!
How did he join you against Leda? If you summon him against mesmer he invades you at the church of the bud (He gets high off his defeat of mesmer and wants to wipe out all traces of the golden order from the shadowland now) and if you dont summon him he joins Leda's side against you in the npc fight (He basically got bribed into rejoining them with the promise of the restoration of the hornsent people under Miquella's new order). To my knowledge there is no way to get him to join your side.

There is rumors of an Elden ring adaptation, and I hope if that's true that it is a build up to this scene. Every NPC in the DLC felt like they could have been the main character to a great story, but we only got to spend a small time with each, so it would be awesome to have a version which did an ensemble cast where we get to know a lot more about each of them.
The build up to this fight was very well worth it. All the pieces that slide into place and the alliances that were formed/broken. Brought a smile to my face.
Makes me think of how I've always wanted a Souls adapted series that focuses almost entirely on the NPCs while the protagonist is just there every now and then.
This fight is so cinematic and feels super unique because it's like a very direct pivot in the story (which usually doesn't happen in elden ring, usually you just do things and have to piece the story together as you go). Feel bad for anyone who hates this fight bcz they didn't use summons and npcs are dumb

This gank fight boss fight was super fun. Ansbach wasn't a surprise in the least, but Thioller joining my side was a shock. I didn't know he had it in him, but when he took out Moore with ease. I was like, "Holy crap dude. I'm glad you're on my side." And to my even bigger shock. He was the one to take out Lyda. Thioller is so underratted.
My fight with this group was so badass. Thiollier and Moore fought one another, Ansbach and Freyja fought one another, and I was left to fight Dane and Leda (I completed Hornsent’s quest line). My companions beat their foes and came to fight Leda while I was dealing with Dane. Just as I defeated him, they fell to her, leaving just us as the main combatants. Straight out of a fucking movie, I have to say.

then there's tarnished of no renown having nothing to say cause he's basically the saying "actions speak louder then words" made manifest, he is more like a force of nature you just point in one direction and see the carnage unfold
During this fight I only could get Ansbach and me and bro were fighting for our lives.
This fight was so fucking epic, even more so with Sir Ansbach and Thiollier at my side.

From intentionally made you fight 5 hostile NPCs in 2 separate waves, just like the G Force in DBZ. That was perfect, holy crap.
When I fought Leda I had also skipped previously hunting down Hornsent, but had already cleared to the church of the bud, so I never actually fought Hornsent, and he joined me to fight against Leda and their crew along w/ Thiollier. Along with my mimic it was a true 4v4!
How did he join you against Leda? If you summon him against mesmer he invades you at the church of the bud (He gets high off his defeat of mesmer and wants to wipe out all traces of the golden order from the shadowland now) and if you dont summon him he joins Leda's side against you in the npc fight (He basically got bribed into rejoining them with the promise of the restoration of the hornsent people under Miquella's new order). To my knowledge there is no way to get him to join your side.

There is rumors of an Elden ring adaptation, and I hope if that's true that it is a build up to this scene. Every NPC in the DLC felt like they could have been the main character to a great story, but we only got to spend a small time with each, so it would be awesome to have a version which did an ensemble cast where we get to know a lot more about each of them.
The build up to this fight was very well worth it. All the pieces that slide into place and the alliances that were formed/broken. Brought a smile to my face.

This fight is so cinematic and feels super unique because it's like a very direct pivot in the story (which usually doesn't happen in elden ring, usually you just do things and have to piece the story together as you go). Feel bad for anyone who hates this fight bcz they didn't use summons and npcs are dumb

same for me. except i didn't burn the ghost girl. instead i got mentally unstable when a weird uncle used his fingers on me, so i burned myself, then got into some weird crack den where you can't feel the time passing to forget my uncle touched me, there i used some dirty needle to get high, and finally i'm okay again and can do all the shit i want without burning the ghost girl. she hate me because i got touched by the uncle though... victim shamming is real...

This gank fight boss fight was super fun. Ansbach wasn't a surprise in the least, but Thioller joining my side was a shock. I didn't know he had it in him, but when he took out Moore with ease. I was like, "Holy crap dude. I'm glad you're on my side." And to my even bigger shock. He was the one to take out Lyda. Thioller is so underratted.
My fight with this group was so badass. Thiollier and Moore fought one another, Ansbach and Freyja fought one another, and I was left to fight Dane and Leda (I completed Hornsent’s quest line). My companions beat their foes and came to fight Leda while I was dealing with Dane. Just as I defeated him, they fell to her, leaving just us as the main combatants. Straight out of a fucking movie, I have to say.
