Those NSR are fast. I have quite a few, would love to race them against others as my crew haven't bought any. My favorite is the Marlboro livery set, which I haven't ever taken out of there box set. I suggest also the Policar modern F1 version. My suggestion for your issue is to use a free app, I use Lap Tracker for analogue cars on my iPhone another different app for my Android. Put phone on a cheap mini tripod over start finish line. It is very accurate.
Yeah I have just got the laptracker app for my phone will give it a go, I do have a lot of f1 policar cars to test but that will be in the new year now as I wrap up reviews for 2022 and I have quite the backlog :)
